I would man but I’m in Fayetteville at the moment. I just got Lasek surgery done this past wed and I’m still healing up. We do need to play though. I’m curious to see what kind of tricks you’ve got up your sleeves these days. Still running with Zero? Watch out playing me though…apparently I’m rage inducing. Whoever is saying that wolverines mixups are easy to block and his dive kick is easily punishable simply hasn’t played against a good wolverine. Like mentioned trying holding down back against corner traps wolverine and see how that gets you. You need to be proactive against a wolverine like that opening him up before he gets a chance to use (in corner traps case) haggar assist. Or bait the assist. Either way it’s an uphill battle and your forced to play his game.
Wolverine is good just not great, I would agree that he is a bit overrated. The current team I’m running with him is Wolverine-Y/Haggar-A/Akuma-B. I took off Sentinel cause I had some interesting setups with Akuma and felt he had a greater comeback factor. Either way this isn’t my main team, I actually consider the team poorly designed and I only use them because they’re fun. My real team is Sentinel-A/Tron-B/X-23-B. Only reason I haven’t used it as much in sessions is because I wasn’t confident enough with my X-23 but I’m feeling good with her now.
If Capcom is smart, they’ll wait a few years before releasing a new SF.
On another note, I realized what’s missing in SF’s character roster. A ROBOT!!! Was there one in the EX series?

I’m just using Akuma casually since I don’t consider my Wolverine team serious. Also I’ve been bboying for years now, pretty much the only other hobby I practice outside of fighting games. Also is anyone else having problems with SRK today?

Dog is almost universally agreed upon as being top tier. Probably the single most versatile character in the game, period.
Wesker is overrated…but he’s still a top 5 character. I think people just seem to use an awful lot of hyperbole when describing how good he is. He doesn’t need high/low mixup either (I swear, this has got to be one of the most overly harped-on mixup options in gaming history). All about some 1F command grab. That move fulfills so many roles it isn’t even funny.
Zero is too reliant on assists to be top. Like, he cannot create a good mixup without an assist (comparatively, Wesker just has to either hit you or get close). His mobility is also ass, because even though he’s got Hienkyaku for fast movement, that move has no invincibility whatsoever, so unless you’ve got an assist (lol), you’re gonna stick to his crappy dashes.
Wolverine gets scraped by a good beamer. Berserker Slash’s invincibility just won’t do you any good against a properly constructed keepaway team. He gets props for being easymode with sick mixups and rush, but otherwise, overrated.
Apparently, you can buy GGAC on amazon for like 15 bucks. People should get on that. It’s a good game.

I’m really interested in how the game engine works. Abel with no FADC doesn’t even seem good to me. But i’m usually wrong about these kinds of things.
Angus, I’m so torn. I completely agree with you that one shouldn’t use Ironman’s s.H in the beginning of his combo incase it gets blocked but the damage I lose for not doing it when going for the unfly combos makes me so mad. From just that one move. >=[

Zero without an assist still has great pokes and shit but really, why would you run him as an anchor when he’s such a good point character / battery?
Wolverine I’m pretty sure can go through beams. C slash will get behind them where there is no beam to hit him when the invincibility runs out. And it’s not like he’s incapable of jumping. He does have his weaknesses though.
Ammy… I dunno. She seems to have some problems getting in, and her zoning isn’t all that scary to me. She also has super low health and not that great damage in comparison to most of the cast. She is good, don’t get me wrong, but at the same time I don’t see her as a dominating force that will be on every team. Just another good character to pick.
Angus: Trish is pretty damn solid, she can rush and is probably the best zoner in the game. Round Harvest is god damn stupid, fight Garret. Knock down combo > Round Harvest > Hard tag in someone, do an unblockable with a low assist that you can’t do anything about, dead character, rinse repeat. I find her a bit scarier than Wesker in my experiences so far.
