well maybe now I can block it. Last time, I had to guess whether I wasn’t blocking on time or there was lag on it. But yeah, come over if you want. Won’t start till 6 though. And I’m not looking to have a lot of people though.
For anyone who cares, i’m having a smashbros / various fighter session at my apt this weekend. Zoogston and zerogamer came to the last one and it was pretty boss to have multiple communities together. Hit me up if your interested
Coke is a hell of a drug.
the only thing I’ll kinda agree with here is his the mixup part. It’s not auto, but it is pretty brain-dead easy to do. I feel like I’m fighting wolverine’s berserk claw which is kinda the same except he doesn’t disappear (Wolverine’s though really feels like a blind guess). Everything else doesn’t really say much b/c Mags (or other characters not even top 5) can do almost the same thing.
Wolverine is blind guess plus invincible plus no assist needed if you have meter.
People are overrating Wesker slightly. He’s extremely strong, but he really does do better with backup from an assist, plus picking Sent and spamming drones tends to make his life miserable.
Yeah, y’all (especially Greensboro) should come on down this weekend.
^^ I c u
I’m down considering state is like 7 minutes away from me now. Just keep us updated.
Ehh, I don’t see it like that. Maybe to the extent that people view drinking beer but I doubt soda will ever be considered as bad as smoking. It is terrible for you though, that’s for sure. But damn delicious.
Sweet Tea >>>> Soda Pop Coke
RE: Wesker, IMO if you are alert, his mixups aren’t that scary. The only really annoying thing about him is his gunshots but his air mobility is shitty so you atleast only have to worry about ground approaches from him. His assist is really what makes the character scary though. Good character but way overrated right now.
Crap.
And I thought I could live in comforting anonymity forever.
^^This^^ Super Jumping works wonders against wesker. Try it, watch how he can do …nothing about it. And w/o an assist he’s very predictable and punishable.
@@DeadOnTime101 I just realized now who you were…I rly need to start putting faces to the names on here -_- Didn’t mean to come off rude abt the wesker comments earlier and I understand why you are hating on him after you had to play against my iron man / wesker cross ups on my laggy TV. Not fair
Is that Revy in your avatar?
Yup. Best anime ever made.
lolwtf. Is there going to be a Lucky’s any time soon. I want an excuse to get piss drunk and play 3s.
I wouldn’t really say Wesker’s mixups are predictable. Yes, he generally does better if he approaches you from the ground, but a character with a 1 frame command grab that leads to combos (and can be kara canceled to extend its already massive range) can only be as predictable as you want him to be. This is one of the reasons why he’s so scary, because generally even if you successfully defend against his first mixup (which usually involves a crossup of some kind), he usually ends up right next to you with plus frames anyway and he gets to run his command grab mixup. Getting hit by Wesker at all means there’s a good chance you could lose that character, because even if you survive his first combo, you get put in an ugly mixup.
Mixup-wise, I’d say he’s scarier than Zero, whose mixups are really about visual confusion and don’t have much of an actual mixup component to them.
Wesker is the best non-Phoenix character in the game. He has no real weaknesses, and no bad matchups to speak of. He has really high health, ridiculous damage for no meter, a 1f command grab, the most damaging l3 super in the game, and is one of the scariest characters in the game with l3XF. No overrating this one.
RE: Picking Sent and spamming drones, drones disappear when Sent gets hit, so if you shoot him in the fucking face, that problem is no longer Wesker’s.
RE: Super jumping and blocking, that is an AWESOME idea…if you don’t want to know which way to block Phantom Dance. Of course, if you enjoy putting yourself in unreactable 5050 whichways, then that’s your thing, and I wish you the best.
Don’t forget that really nice otg assist that benefits many characters greatly. He definitely seems to be a good addition to most teams.
Wesker doesn’t have much in the high low aerial cross up department. Zero does that and has some good cross up options, and although I didn’t do it a lot, he has instant overheads with j.236A. But wesker has command grab, so it’s really more about what you want to do. I prefer Zero’s strong pokes and air mobility though, but I do think both characters are good. I don’t agree with Matt saying Wesker is the second best character atm though.
As far as Phantom dance, assuming you are running him Anchor, honestly, who cares. Phantom dance does less damage on hit than hail storm does on block. Not to mention it loses to any hitbox on the screen it seems like. Phantom is only scary IMO if he has someone to DHC to afterwards. Unless you’re at like 10% on your last character, then you probably shouldn’t do any jumping lol.
Once again, it’s just my opinion, but I feel like Magneto probably is #2 atm. He does everything very well, the only real draw back is his health.
I am down to get smacked around a little in marvel. Want to see what you all have been evolving into since the last time I played. I will hit you up on aim or something.
Sneak I can make it out to your place late Saturday. I’ll be there for BB and Marvel.
Because I’m bored, and don’t work until later, here’s my personal tier list;
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS±Phoenix
SS-Wesker, Dog, Dante, Magneto
S-Storm, Zero, Trish, Dorm, Wolverine
A±Spencer, Taskmaster, Akuma, Skrull, IM
A-SHulk, CapAm, Chun, Morrigan, Ryu, Viper, X23, Tron, V.Joe, Shuma, Spidey, Sentinel
B±Jill, Hulk, Felicia, Doom, MODOK, Chris, Deadpool, Arthur
B-Thor, HsienKo, Haggar
Everyone is playable in this game imo (unless Phoenix is on the other team, at which point zoning characters fall into the currently empty C tier). Nobody is total garbage at this point in the game’s life.
