Learn to read. It says outside of normal needs. I’m not here to validate myself, but I get my share of girls. I don’t care about dating them at this point–and I’m successful in getting what I want out of them. If I was gay I’d tell you and I’d be proud. Grow up.
he has auto mixups
he is capable of taking out entire teams easily
he does over 600k with just a relaunch combo
lvl 3
all his moves are like safe as fuck
yea hes really underpowered
EDIT:LOL at hes not an easy mode char if wesker is hard to use for you then i dont know what to say
I’m pretty sure he was just messing with you, man.
Lighten up! Shit was kinda funny…
Self-entitlement? If that’s how you read it then my bad. This wasn’t my life’s story, it was just a post that I wrote in 15 minutes to describe myself and what I’m trying to accomplish. What you don’t get is that I gamed at the highest of levels and the people who play SF are completely different than those who play Halo. If you want tips and pointers in those games, you better be prepared to pay. The people I’ve talked to told me that the scene is completely different so I will give it a try. I thought that’s how all gaming was, and obviously people are more willing to help in this game. So, yea. My b if that’s how you read it.
because we care if you were the best in (insert game nobody in the FGC cares about in here)
I’m not sure what you mean by auto mixups? (Forgive me if its my ignorance at work here)
I never said he was underpowered, just that he’s not overpowered. I put him in top 5 of my post. I also said that he’s not easy mode, not that he’s hard for me to use. Dark phoenix is easy mode. Wolverine is easy mode. Wesker takes practice to use all of his tools effectively and we’ve yet to see a player use wesker to even half his potential I believe.
600K with a relaunch into super isn’t that rare among the top characters in the game >.>
Lvl 3 is lvl 3 lol, for anyone. It’s nothing compared to say…akuma level 3
He has good safe moves, as any top 5 character would.
I guess you can’t read either. I said I assumed it was all the same. My goodness, learn to read a post and get what I’m saying out of it. Don’t just target the part you don’t like and focus on that.
Damn y’all - give the guy a break! He just wants to play a few games.
So what if his first post isn’t exactly what you would have written?
You don’t have to be gunning for EVO to come to SRK, last I checked…
Welcome, dude. Hope you find the comp you’re looking for.
Thank you man. I will go to gatherings and stuff just to see what it’s like. I don’t want to be biased to it because I’m not opposed to it by any means. I just don’t want to have to deal with the bullshit that Halo had. The people weren’t cool, they just talked shit and had these awful attitudes. It just wasn’t a fun situation for anyone.
What he said.
NC thread gettin real lovey dovey :bluu:
he has the highest comboable lvl 3 in the game. compared to akumas lvl 3 its pretty fucking good considering akumas lvl 3 is almost impossible to hit anyone unless you know how to set that shit up.
Halo’s community is horrible, it’s not the same. Trust there are a lot of cool people that just want to play and get better. Honestly out of the 30+ people I’ve met in the past few weeks only 1 has rubbed me the wrong way, and he’s not a regular.

I mentioned this to a few people at the end of the state gathering this past weekend, I want NC to be good at this game on a national level. If no one steps up to run monthly tournaments soon I will. Every game I play I gun for the top and it’s no different with marvel. We have some very good players and I feel like we can establish some very solid gameplay that can compete with other regions.
I personally have people in NY/MA/PA and will be traveling to get better, and anyone else thats aiming to the top is more then welcome to join me. I want to see an NC player make top 8 in a major for mvc3, I don’t think its that far fetched especially in a game like this where we all can kill a character with 1 combo if we so choose and a lot of who wins is all mind games.
There are 2-3 people that are able to beat me consistently that I have met so far and I want to play those people 1 on 1 as much as I possibly can, as I think everyone should do with people that can beat them consistently. I know will (corner trap) is taking the game pretty serious and if anyone else is to please let me know.
bryri…i would just tone it down a bit…arrogance isnt really appreciated too much
the fgc is different than the other gaming crowds…personally i dont allow anyone to get too disrespectful against me…it also helps that im 26yo and 6’4"…but it should all be in good fun…i mean i dont play games to get pissed off…and if someone guy is being a douche than just dont play him…unlike fps, fighting games is a solo event…so the mob mentality shouldnt kick in as much…but you never know…
as for wesker…i hate wesker…but i hate all the teleporting chars in this game piss me off…especially in x-factor…but im figuring out how to neutralize them
XxJosxX–im taking it pretty serious here…lol…i have over 622 wins atm on xbox live…plus i have spent a couple weeks not playing since i was “in the field” (im in the army)…just looking forward heading out to elite gaming here in a few weeks(gunna be outta town for the next couple weekends)
@TheDont84 This is the internet and I’m not fighting anyone over a game ever. If you think I’ve gotten disrespectful, then you’ve read me wrong completely as well. I don’t know why three people think I’m being arrogant while the people who PMed me understand exactly what I meant. This isn’t a dick measuring contest, this is a newbie aspiring to get better. That’s all it is. I don’t care about how big you are, trust me, I have friends that are bigger and way meaner and that doesn’t matter at all–and it shouldn’t ever. Who cares about that? Really? That’s some nonsense that you hear all of the time over XBL that no one cares about. Trust me, if I wanted to be arrogant I would talk about my accomplishments in real life, not over a video game. I was only validating where I came from, and I don’t want anyone to misread that. SO LET ME CLEAR THE AIR HERE. I AM NOT BEING A JERK, I JUST HAD THE WRONG PERCEPTION OF THE FIGHTING GAMING COMMUNITY WHICH IS WHY I WAS INITIALLY RELUCTANT TO GO TO GATHERINGS AND EVENTS AND THAT HAS QUICKLY CHANGED AFTER TALKING TO A FEW PEOPLE. That is all. If I see you around then I’ll say hey or whatever and I’ll be as nice as you are to me.
well after i re-read my post…i see where i was unclear on the whole disrespecting thing…i was attempting to say that i have never really had the problem of someone being a dick to me at a tourney or meet-up…so couldnt really relate to you there…but the groups i have been a part of have always been filled with nice people…to the point we became friends outside of the game events…looking forward to meeting you someday at a tourney…
ohh… now I get what you’re saying. Yea man, trust me, I’ve definitely been blatantly disrespected and I thought that’s just how it was across all communities. That’s why I wanted a 1v1 sesh at first because the FPS community is a different animal. For the most part people are unapproachable, and people usually approach you the wrong way if you’re one of the few people who are approachable. That was a huge turn off and why I burned out of that game. It’s kind of like everyone has this huge ego where they think they’re awesome so it gives them the right to talk shit to some random stranger the first time they meet them. I used to go to tourneys and not say a word and once I got on the controller it was like everyone grew balls and just started talking shit as I just stared at the screen and gave my call outs to my teammates and beat them. It’s shameful actually because you know they don’t behave like that outside of the the time they spend on Xbox. I’m just glad to know that you all are way more welcoming and for the most part understanding of lesser players. Trust me, this wouldn’t fly in the FPS community because you need to get good on your own and find a team and your team is really all you know. Most of the top players don’t even have casual matches against each other. When that’s all you’ve ever known, you just assume that’s how it is for everyone. So my b on that assumption.
Uh oh. I said sorry for letting your tv get slightly wet!!
Good Lord. This is getting ridiculous fast. I admit, reading bryri’s first post, I had the same impression that a lot of you guys had, but the dude explained himself and even tried to clarify so people wouldn’t get the wrong impression of him. Seriously, when’s the last time you saw someone come on SRK and act like a civilized person, even after people started to troll and insult him? I can’t wait to meet this guy.
