Unfortunately, fighting games are becoming much the same. It’s not -that- bad yet, but it’s the trend, probably for all competitive gaming. The 1v1 aspects of fighters and the almost complete absence of randomness make it better, though. Hope to see you around soon.
Bryi I sent you a PM, I’m coming from almost the exact some boat as you (not halo, but FPS). FPS are only fun when you play in ladders or tournaments with competitive rulesets now, there is no fun to be found in a public match. And even with competitive rulesets things are getting boring, its why I transferred most of my focus to fighting games as well.
Honestly you can play with us and get good enough to beat almost anyone you encounter online pretty easily, online with this game is a joke. Teleport mixups and 'online unblockables are very easy to learn and will take you to the top quickly. You can see the mixupes coming online, you can block them properly - but because of lag you will still get hit. Once you start learning the game chances are you won’t want to have anything to do with online.
i would be happy to hear any type of lucky announcement right now.

At first I was taken back by bryri’s long post and thought it was a troll post as well but the dude just wants to learn to play a fighter. I know our goal is to be a big part of the offline scene but hey, it’s not for everyone.
I personally love seeing fighters gain new players and am happy to help anyone learn the genre, whether they want to play offline or online. But i understand the hesitation since he won’t really be contributing to our scene - but who knows? Maybe after learning he will.
I’m welcoming to new players as long as they plan to help the scene grow. If you only want to play online with no intentions of playing in sessions or tournaments then that’s fine because it’s not for everyone. I’m even cool with someone like that wanting a few friends to play online with. What I don’t like is how he feels he can be picky about who he plays against as if a match against him is a sacred privilege. He even goes on to post his entire damn life story as if anyone gives a damn. Why should anyone care about your personal situation when none of us are ever going to meet you in real life since you plan on making no effort to make it out to sessions or tournaments. This sense of self entitlement is laughable.
This made me lol a bit at my job

Whats with the wesker hate? He’s not easy mode, far from overpowered. He has all the tools needed to win but you def need to know when and which tools to use. He’s definatley a top 5 character but in no way as obnoxiously powerful as phoenix.
