Vergil (DMC3) would be tight.
Ryuu from BoF series would be dope.
you might as well say …
" step aside HYO IMAWANO !! vergil’s coming ! "

I would think the Japanese would like an all-star game if the battle engine was more down to earth. In MvC2 and it’s forerunners the Marvel characters have huge attacks with beams and giant blast spheres and the like. Because of that the Capcom characters were steroided to near-DBZ levels to compete but still failed to do so and in the process made things look goofy. But if a 2D all star game was made more on the CvS2/CFE level then I think they would receive it well.
Some of those characters can beat the DBZ characters IMO. And I think some characters from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures would be a good.
okay someone better post this jedah Ending I need to see this
Im pretty lucky in the non-fighting game character department because Tron is my favorite and she just happened to make it to a 2-D fighter!~
Yesss!
Read page 4? shrug The story isn’t there, but it’s a picture.
Good stuff
Also, Rival Schools needs some love:
I see Akira, Kyoko and possibly Daigo as the next most likely candidates for a 2D conversion (CvS3 please)
Akira:
Gate Elbow (qcf+P) - This move would get beefed up to the point where it’s basically Andy Bogard’s Zaneiken (or Rock Howard’s dashing elow if you’ve never played a KOF. And if you haven’t: shame on you )
(Command throw) (qcf+K) - Akira’s “launcher”. Dashes forward and launches. The catch is, this move hits low so she gets some mixups with her c.FP launching too.
Spinning Kicks (qcb+K,K,K) - Basically, Ibuki’s spinning kick move. LK - low, MK - high, HK - overhead.
Auto-Counter (hcb+P) - Akira seems like she should have a move like this. Basically the same thing Geese et. al. has.
Supers:
White Crane Stance (qcb, qcb+K) - From here, Akira can do all the various chains she has in the game. I just made it a super so it can’t be abused.
Skull Aura (qcf, qcf+P) - Think Kikosho
Team-Up Super (hcb,hcb+P) -
Level 1: Edge’s team-up move
Level 2: Zaki comes out and they both do akira’s team-up (Helmetless version in RS)
Level 3: Akira uppercuts the opponent, Gan catches and Edge & Gan do Gan’s team-up
Super Parry (in guard stun w/ level 3, qcb, hcf+P) - Akira parries and pushes the opponent away. Daigo shows up, the opponent does a short autocombo on him and then he uppercuts them up AND OFF THE SCREEN.

What about Batsu and Hinata? I mean when you think about they do already have cool looking sprites of them in 2-D format from CVS2 (viewed during Kyosuke’s lvl 3). I personally like those two characters from the Rival Schools series. I wish they were hidden characters along with Shin Akuma & Ultimate Rugal though…

I rather see Akira & Diago, Batsu & Hinatu are too much like Ryu & Sakura but that’s just my opinion.
nice work

And since CFJ is being very well recieved in Japan, don’t bet on it.(Unless it falls off quick.)
QUOTE]
it is really well recieved cfe/j in japan???
For the thread that won’t die…
The latest issue of Arcadia ranks it as number 9 of the top 10 arcades according to what’s being played.
And, check home video game sales and arcade game sales.
So maybe we’ll see CFJ2 after all… (If Capcom cares anyway :xeye: ) if so it better be as polished as CvS2.
Dante,Vergil,Sparda - DMC
Demon Nobonaga , Samanosuke , Ogre Samanosuke - Onimusha 3
Ryu , Rei(BOF 3 with that weretiger move), Fou Lu (BOF 4)
A couple of characters i would like to see make an appearance in a capcom fighting game.
but didn`t capcom announced that cfj/e will be their last 2d fighter?
That was a rumor or an off the record comment, it’s never been officially announced. When the rumor came out it also said this was the reason Funamizu left Capcom, which makes no sense. After CVS2 he said “No 2D games for 2 years.” He’s the one who’s been holding up SF4 and DS4 all of this time and his new Dragon Ball Z game is guess what, 3D! CFE being Capcom’s last 2D game wouldn’t bother him in the least.
Still, the division of Capcom that put out CFE, Capcom Production Studio 2 (Keiji Inafune’s team) is busy right now with a bunch of collections, PSP Ports, a slew of Megaman games and possibly Onimusha 4. I wouldn’t expect a sequel from them anytime soon.
And there still may never be a sequel. Who knows. Things change though.
Well only time will tell then.
I thought that Funamizu left Capcom over the PS2 port of RE4. He swore up & down that it was a Gamecube exclusive, even going as far as saying that they were using effects that couldn’t be done on the PS2 or Xbox… and then the top brass makes a deal with Sony. That would be a pretty big embarrassment.
Doesn’t Capcom of America own the rights to the Street Fighter series? If so wouldn’t they be the ones designing it?
