What would make a person “feel threatened” about attending or participating in an event?

Anyways, it would be really awesome if women in general found ways to gather other women and attend tournaments for the purpose of participating and then in doing so become friends with the male gamers already attending said events. I am pretty sure making that minimal effort that male gamers are already doing would do wonders for them. Then again idk that makes too much sense. They are probably better off just holding picket signs in random places and throwing rocks at people over the internet.

The same applies to women in the FGC. If there is some hidden epdemic of sexual/psychological/emotional/physical assault happening to women at every event at all times I’d like to be reassured with evidence before I start proclaiming these accusations are a declarative fact.
