Well, I beat the Fire Emblem demo, and I have a best buy coupon for $15. I am going to stop being a pussy and tomorrow buy the game and beat my first strategy rpg!
Mad upset about this, since I was expecting a delay due to me having it shipped but this is looking like I might not get the game until next week. Weak shit,.
Yeah its a little disappointing might just download it if its on the eShop from what I’ve read its a little over a gig. Forgot why I pre-ordered in the first place if it was a art book I usually lose those anyway.
Yeah an artbook. My store had a few extra ones and I grabbed one. Has some character sketches for some of the characters, it’s not big though but it’s pretty nice if you like art booklets.
The shortage must be serious if websites are actually reporting about it

FYI, Fire Emblem took 27 minutes to download. I’m guessing speeds will vary by internet speed.

Speaking of strategy rpgs, can someone tell me some good ones? I really like them and I want more to play (besides Fire Emblem Awakening. I don’t have a 3DS yet.). The systems I have are PS3, PS1, GC, and GBA. Just give me some really good ones.

That’s a nice list. I have been replaying through fire emblem(7) and forgot how much I disliked the story. I am going to play through fire emblem 6 in a couple days as I have never played that one and it is the sequel to 7 even though it came out before. I read a little bit on the story and man I am not happy about who he main antagonist is. Should have probably posted this in the fire emblem thread.
Anyways make sure to play advance wars. That is such a fun game, I haven’t played it in awhile but am going to today.
How is awakening. I heard there are no arenas so I am curious as to how I will effectively level up my team when I get it.
I got my copy today from Best Buy. quick question, can healers heal themselves? I was playing the demo on normal and the cpu killed my healer several times. Apparently, I did not protect her well enough with my positioning.
Awakening has a world map with nonrandom encounters, I believe.
Someone wanna school me on leveling characters in Code of Princess? What stats are important to the main characters and what are junk stats? And is it worth it getting Zozo’s speed up, or just focus on her magic?
i didn’t get into any of code of princess’s depth ,but all i did was upgrade attack and hp for solange and a little bit of defense.
the whole game was a breeze
Made a few calls, Best Buy finally got the game and I picked it up. Last 3 hours have been spent playing it on Hard up until the 5 mission. Loving it so far. But game wise, my tradition of blowing my entire initial allotment of cash early in the game continues. Blew it all on vulenary or whatever and magic since I am playing my tactician as basically a mage. That partnership shit is serious fucking business to get good damage in a lot of the battles so far.
Not sure if it is on other console markets, but I am pretty sure Ogre Battle (the SNES version though) and Ogre Battle 64 (guess which system that is on) are available via the Virtual Console on the Wii and Wii U if Papinguim gets or has access to either of those at anypoint.
Still played the GC version of Fire Emblem regularly until about 2 years ago, quality entry and actually my first Fire Emblem game. The Wii sequel is very good as well.
I’ll throw out the Disgaea series for this list, 3 and 4 are on the the PS3.
GS at has recieved limited quantities Tues and Wed so they’re going to try to get the preorders taken care of first. Friday the 2nd bulk of FE should be in…hopefully that should be for the remaining retailers as well.
If looking for entry to srpgs I cannot advise strongly enough to stay away from the disgaea games strongly enough.
You might wish to check then out after getting a few solid titles under your belt but for many reasons I do not advise anyone to start with those.
