Uh, cool. I hope it has PSP level graphics by now with which to show off the 3D.
I read that on gaf a bit ago. Sounds interesting and is supposed to be as powerful as gamecube. Will wait to see a demo, but I am curious.
If this is real…
SWEET CHRISTMAS!:wow:
interesting. I’ll wait to see it first. I wanted to get an DSi XL, but if this thing has a good screen then I might as well wait.
Bit of a rant/tangent, but this is why I’m not spending huge money on an HDTV or 3DTV, until autostereoscopic tech is mastered. Doesn’t matter if I have to wait till I’m 60-- it just doesn’t make sense to part with thousands of dollars, when I KNOW that they can do better. Companies are rolling out glasses-required 3DTVs, as if that’s the ONLY technology available. I’ve seen an autostereoscopic display before-- it wasn’t perfect, there was blurring when you changed angles, etc-- but it exists. As far as I’m concerned, any glasses-required setup is throwaway stopgap tech. It just annoys me that TV/display manufacturers dumped TVs that suffered burn-in, poor scaling, different resolution standards, faded black levels, fucked-up lag etc. etc. etc., when it was clear that those TVs weren’t ready for public consumption.
Uh anyway, back to the handheld. Sounds really interesting. I hope it’s not dual (segmented) screen, I always hated that about DS.
I say this is April Fools a little too early.
if this is actually real then this is what they’re making FF7 remake on and that console will destroy even home consoles, probably
good thing they havent started making ff5+6 remakes, that top down 3d odd view is not acceptable
This is kind of pointless, isn’t it? I mean, it’s the world of technology…it’s always evolving to something better.
The only good thing about 3DTV imo, is that they will bring down the price of regular HDTVs. Which is hard to argue with right now. I paid less than a $1000 for a 47" LG 120hz. Very, very happy with that purchase as it was a step up from a CRT 27".
Back to the topic on 3DS, I’ll pass. Sony needs to get their ass in gear with PSP2.
Actually, I feel the PSP is a great machine. However, aside from a couple of great games (GOW: COP, Rondo, MM), the PSP lacked 3rd party support, and maybe a few technical issues (shitty analog stick, relatively short battery life).
Yall are so lazy. It is real. All you have to do is go straight back to the…
Which was taken from…
I’d buy a new virtualboy if it was 3d, had full color support and didn’t come with a stand. Just a pair of glasses and a controller.
That’d be pretty fucking awesome.
another handheld?!
throws DSi XL into the garbage
Nintendo needs to develop the hell out of their Wii/DSiware platform if they want 3DS to bite. Also needs an accelormeter and vibrate/rumble with at least 8gbs of on board memory and an SD expansion. Also needs F-Zero.
some info from newspapers:
rumble and ‘control stick’. So this thing’s going to have a touch screen plus the analog stick.
my ds is about to kick the bucket, but i think it’ll hold out another year. After heavy play, one of the connections between the top and bottom cracked but I think it’ll be ok for now.
3D fad needs to be buried and forgotten ASAP
All Nintendo needs to do is make a new DS with better graphical capabilities a multitouch screen and ds backwards compatibility. They would roll Sony and Apple without even trying
it is real? perfect console for the FF7 remake, and is funny to hear about this after the FF7 makers said they would like to remake FF7 dedicating one year to the project
I think I may be the next nostradamus, I seem to predict wayyyyy too many things
bluith- this is 3D without glasses? how in the hell could you still call it a fad? do you have any idea what it will look like at all? come on
Damn Nintendo, I hate that no matter what happens, I will purchase it for the gimmick alone. I just hope they do something for Pokemon with this tech.
I don’t know why you would want full color when it already has the best color: retina-scarring red.
Fixed
it ain’t a fad…3D is being pushed all over…it’s the next step in entertainment.
