Nintendo 3DS - Best Handheld Today

I started to get that game the other day, but I was skeptical on how really good it was. Might have to pick it up now.

Luigi’s mansion got a tad bit more interesting…It has co-op online play as well as Download play with 1 cart

I’ll tell you what the peeps here told me: Play 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors first.

I can’t use the 3D for more then 5 minutes at a time. Otherwise, it feels like my eyes are on fire. What I would’ve rather had instead of the 3D is a second analog stick, better build quality (the normal 3DS chips and stuff really easily), and a larger battery instead of accelerometers, 3D, and whatever other stuff they put into it. I want to play good games on it, not mess around with some crappy camera, some stupid 3D that’ll make me go blind, and flail it around to catch Pokemon. For some reason, Nintendo (and Microsoft and Sony too to an extent with their crappy motion controllers) think that gimmicks will sell products. So instead of putting good battery life, worthwhile features, a good d-pad and triggers, ergonomics and stuff, and a lot of memory for your system and controller, you shove a horrible touchscreen and MIiverse into your home console. For the 3rd 3DS model, I want a 3DS the size of the original, the home/start/select buttons of the XL, the buttons and triggers of the XL, build quality and form factor of the XL, no 3D, and a larger battery life. So pretty much a Nintendo S. Because 3D sucks.

Snipping to point your post went from constructive to stupid.

Try stopping two rants sooner next time.

No no no, Papinguim has made some very good points. On another note, I’m hoping to beat Radiant Historia this weekend. Using GameFAQs to complete the side-quests otherwise I’ll never finish.

@ Papaguim

Miiverse is awesome. You haven’t experienced it yet have you?

Miiverse is great had some laughs on there already and I personally like what the touch screen brings to the table whether it adds to the gameplay or just displays useful info. I agree with the battery life and 2nd stick but I’m sure everyone feels the same about those. The good thing about 3D is that it’s not forced so it doesn’t matter if I like it or not. With so many games I’m interested in its easy to overlook some of the flaws.

Luigi’s Mansion looks like it’s one of those games that is really fun to play but doesn’t look fun when watching videos of it. Didn’t play the first one but it looks creative enough to pique my interest, at least more so then Fire Emblem, the demo of which I played a few times to my surprise.

Oh snap dat Lunar SSSC ps1 demo like stuff. I thought companies forgot about that.

You’ll find that a lot of detractors haven’t experienced Miiverse to make an accurate judgement.

That’s why I’m assuming he hasn’t actually had a chance to experience it to say something like that. I’d easily say it’s one of the best things Nintendo has come up with in the past decade. I’m seriously curious on how they’re planning to take that and squeezing it onto the 3DS.

They didn’t forget, it fucked up every time you tried to transfer over from the demo to the main game.

You mean the Alex’s ocarina error thing where in the demo you could actually lose/move it?

Nope. And seeing as I don’t intend to get a Wii U, I don’t know if I will any time soon. Personally, I’d rather have good games and a good controller instead of Miiverse, but I guess that’s just me. The only game so far that looks cool on the Wii U is that Wonderful 101 game.

On the WIi U, I don’t like that it has that weird touch screen that the DS used. I find it OK on that, but seeing the things that Nintendo is attempting to do with the second screen on the Wii U, they should’ve put a better screen in. But whatever, I’m sure they’ll fix it over time. That Pro Controller looks amazing though. Tweak that (Add real triggers, not buttons to the ZL and ZR, and put the D-Pad the Wii Remote had, not this new one) too.

3DS is going to get some great games though.

Denpa Men had a similar option, it was what actually convinced me to get the game the fact that I could just come back to where I left off. More games should have this feature when the demo is literally just the first few levels or areas at the beginning of the game.
