I’m not thinking so much as ‘why bother?’ so much as if I happen to be away from my console and I feel like playing/ practicing some things then it works for me…that is unless there’s frame differences, glitches abound, etc.
SPEAKING OF THAT…I went into work today and they were playing a new commercial for SSFIV3D and …that or some variation of it. I’m trying to see if I can find the commercial for it.
Yeah, I have the same mindset as you, its not a bother to me neither because of the fact that owning the PS3 version doesn’t sustitute having a good version on the go for me. Of course, I like SSF4 a lot so I guess I was inclined to get that game even before the buzz was favorable as a 3ds launch title.
I decided to get one and reserved an aqua 3DS (was gonna get black, but I always get black so I went for something different ). Probably gonna get SSF4 as well, though not sure.
I’d bust a nut if Sega made a Shinobi game in 2D with parallax scrolling galore that is as good as if not better than Shinobi III Return of the Motherfucking Ninja Master.
I’ll try to help with it since I have a list printed out of releases on all the platforms. I’m in the process of getting ready to move though so it will probably take a few days.
I want to like the 3DS. I went to Santa Monica beach for the 3DS hands-on event. I played SF4 3DS, but how the hell am I supposed to play fighting games with a stupid analog nub? Also, the 3D effect made me feel disoriented-- or maybe because I wasn’t wearing my glasses at the time …
I’ve owned and loved every previous iteration of the Gameboy since the first gray brick, but this whole 3d gimmick isn’t working for me. I primarily use it when I travel (which is often, to tournaments or just to the city) but the 3d deal looks like a giant pain in the ass because you have to be sitting and looking at it in just the right way. That’s not how I use it, I like to sit back in my chair, lie down on the bed, and it’s like if I’m NOT using the 3d portion why am I going to bother buying it? The analog nub is really nice though.
I only want to replay OoT anyway, and the new Mario game :looney:.
this deal is lame. the qualifying games are such a short list. it seems like all the games they want retail at $50-60 which would be a wast to trade in 5 of them to still have to spend $100 on the 3DS
note that the 3D isn’t a " gimmick " in my eyes, it’s mearly the icing on the cake. I’m not buying the system for the hardware, I’m buying it for the software and the future software. I’m getting it tonight, I’ll let you know how it goes.
