Because people who are fans of Nintendo buy Nintendo products for Nintendo. Why would I buy a Nintendo for ass creed of call of duty?
And some of those fans enjoy high quality third party games too, so like I said best of both worlds is ideal.
That’s why we have PS4s.
Which they do plenty of through partnering with Sega, Atlus, NIS, Capcon, Konami, Bandai and Squeenix. Not to mention all the Indy devs like Way Forward and Yacht Club

MH has cats and MGS has cinematic cut scenes so both obviously suck and are for casual gamers, real gamers only play Nintendo and Platinum developed games, why must you have such taste cancer SH?
Because if the system had the Playstation/xbox stuff (obviously not owned by sony/ms) + the Nintendo stuff I could just buy one console and have it all.

Like I’ve said many times before nintendo being underpowered has been a big probably the biggest reason DS/3DS have such GDLK libraries, look what happened to PSV’s “portable version of console games you own” schtick went, the lack of tech forced developers to step their game up, I loved how last generation the DS versions of multi plat games were dramatically different and sometimes way superior to the home versions.

Dude…to be honest, it’s not hard to make a movie-based game that doesn’t suck. You just have to develop it with the mindset of “Make it good”. Most developers who do movie games have the mindset of “Just make it LOOK good, and get it in stores in time to coincide with the movie release. Kids will beg their parents for it and since kids are stupid, they won’t read reviews and we’ll get lots of sales”. That shit is why we’re just now about to get a DECENT Kung Fu Panda game (albeit a Smash clone) featuring characters and attacks from the 3rd film, which isn’t even coming out until next year…technically, would this game count as a spoiler?
I’m sure everyone who owns Nintendo hardware bought it for Nintendo games, the same way that niggas buy xbox for Halo and Gears, and PS fans buy PS for Ratchet, God of War and alla that.
The thing really is Nintendo fans don’t typically buy shit foreal unless it is clearly first party dev. Like I would almost go as far to as to say that if that series isn’t repped in Smash, they may not even fuck with it for the most part. Like say if Fire Emblem came over here and Marth and Roy weren’t in Smash, people would’ve probably skipped.
Idk I honestly feel third parties have a market on Nintendo consoles but it plays into the “kiddy” shit as something more colorful would fare better like Sonic or something. You put something like Bloodborne on there and it’s not finna settle with Nintendo fans even if probably they spent a whole direct on it, with Miyamoto himself saying “I made this” lol.
But yeah Idk if I’m guilty of it but I typically don’t buy 3rd parties games on my Nintendo home consoles unless i feel it’s more comfortable on the controller or if it’s an exclusive. All my wii games are exclusives damn near, but most of my wii u games are first party outside of Lost World, Zombi U, and Splinter Cell. But that’s mostly due there foreal not being enough 3rd party games on the system for me to even have options.
But idk im satisfied with my U. The few games I have, got longetivity, i got wii games to handle filler. I do wish the eshop was more fluffed out espeically with the gba, ds, and wii games, but maybe Nintendo will get on top of it. I feel the reason why Nintendo is slow to catch up with modern practices(the good ones) is simply because their fans are ok with every single they do so they don’t really see a reason to catch up. Especially if I’m assuming they are making some type of decent profits off software.
But yeah I just feel they need to just catch up overall. But then again most of the common complaints I see for Nintendo I don’t take seriously because people got the “their kiddy” meanwhile niggas go out and hype LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet games. Also saying their online connections suck which i’ve never experienced aside from smash on 3ds and just a bunch of shit that’s just bandwagon hate. Even worse I see niggas who do wanna play the games, they just don’t want to own a Nintendo console lol
