I don’t know if you guys follow Nintendo on Twitter, but they were giving away 15 copies of Luigi’s Mansion signed by Miyamtoto. And tomorrow, they’re giving away some 3DS XL’s with Mirror of Fate. I’m gonna try to cop the XL as I want one badly.
How does it compare to Magical Melody? That was one of the best Harvest Moon games in my opinion.
I can’t really recommend any 3DS games as I’ve returned every one of them I’ve bought cause they sucked. I still have FF Theatrythme but I bought that for my girlfriend.
I have no intentions of getting Fire Emblem or Luigi’s Mansion either.
I’ve been on the fence about Monster Hunter but I’ve heard nothing but bad about it.
…What games did you pick up and what do you like playing? Also where have you been hearing these bad things about monster hunter?
I don’t think he’s ever said anything positive about the 3DS. I think it’s time for him to return/sell it. Maybe I’m mixing him up with someone else though. Edit: Yep, got mixed up.
Not sure how I feel about the EO1 Remake using preset characters, but as long as they aren’t using this as a testing ground for the mainline series I can go with it. You can still change the classes.

anybody get into monster hunter 3? I played for an hour or two, and went and bought a couple other games for cheap and have been playing them.
Definitely copping. I played it at a gamestop when it came out and was in love but I didn’t like shaking to roll, looks like 3ds will take care of that issue.

I’ve had Mario Kart 7, Paper Mario, Adventure Time, Kingdom Hearts, a few others.
I don’t like the direction they’ve taken mario kart. I’ve already said why I disliked the 3DS Paper Mario, same with Adventure Time (which really wasn’t a bad game…but it was a game designed purely for kids. It took me less that 9 hours to beat it twice). Kingdom Hearts 3D was just flat out bad.
As for MH3 I’ve just heard the game play is really slow and clunky. Most of my friends I talk about video games with are huge fans of the series but have hated this one.
iunno…I still may get it…I’ve always wanted to try the series out.
Which brings me to this. I had massive buyers remorse for the my 3DS XL. In a lot of ways I still do. The eShop saved my 3DS XL from being traded in for a Vita. This was of course before I heard they were making Chocobo Racing 3DS, Dragon Quest VII for the 3DS and Project X Zone.
I still want a Vita though. Not the thread for that though.
I use it occasionally. It’s a good tool for drawing.
tried to get luigi’s mansion last night but target was sold out. ended up getting shinobi for 20bucks instead.

Anyways are there any Bleach fighters or 2D Castlevanias even announced? Or other random good 2D fighters you cant get on consoles? Or a 2D Metroid?
CV and Bleach DS alone sold me the DS, and made it better thn the PSP. I see used 3DS’s cheap enough, but said games are a requirement before I pick one up.
Definitely to each it’s own on MK and KH since I’m on the opposite spectrum on that specially MK. After playing Mario Kart Wii and then going to 7 I’d rather then continue down that direction, MK will probably always have rubberband A.I. and blue shells but it feels far less in this game than in Wii. Someone’s in the lead has a much better chance of keeping their lead regardless of what his tossed at them if they’re far enough out of the pack. I remember a year back racing with someone here and there was some guy who we could not catch for the life of us.
I don’t get it…if anything MH3U is probably the least ‘clunkiest’ title in the series just by having the soft lock on alone. I’m looking at vids of the previous games and the combat looks like Monster Hunter…shrugs. The only way you move any quicker is in by which weapon you use and knowing the timing for when and where to swing on monsters so I don’t really get what they’re saying on why JUST MH3 feels slow and clunky when the combat has been pretty much the same throughout the series. The only thing wrong with the one on the 3DS really is that it doesn’t have online compared to it’s Wii U counterpart. Also there should be a demo of the game you can download off of the eShop where you can try the various weapons against one of the 2 of the monsters if you haven’t tried it yourself yet.
There is a 2D castlevania…some dig it…some don’t. It’s done by Mercury Steam so… No exclusive fighters for the system really…I wish for one final Bleach fighting game myself but it doesn’t seem to be in the cards unfortunately.
Actually I had forgotten about this game for a second since it’s taking forever to release it. Yatagarasu just got released on PC today and it’s gonna get an eShop release at some point.
