No interest in this at all. Not even remotely. I’m a huge fan of the original Nightmare and I have no desire to see Bay’s production company fuck it in the ass. It’s going to be a cash grab piece of shit that panders to current 17-21 year olds who know shit about shit and feed off of anything that’s shoved down their throats. How Freddy looks is the least of this movie’s problems. The OG was so low budget they had to use cheap special effects to make things work. Freddy pushing through the wall was just a sheet…but it looked good. Some of the creepiness of the original comes from the lack of crazy special effects.
Oh, and it’s going to be your typical modern American horror, which means it will try to be disturbing while never really getting anywhere near it. I gave the trailer a chance because I was such a fan of the original, but they delievered exactly the product I feared.
They already have remember? The new Hulk, that came out lke three years after the new Hulk movie?
And Michael Bay is involved?? Hell no…I’m having no parts of this.
This movie seems entertaining at best. Seems like it could be worth downloading once a good rip of it comes out.

I think Jackie Earle Hayley (Rorshach from Watchmen) will be a good Kreuger.
They said they’re going for a more sadistic Kreuger like in the original as opposed to the campy version from 3 onward.
I enjoyed the F13th remake mainly because it didnt try to hide what it was and if this movie does the same Im sue I’ll enjoy it.
I share the Same opinion on this post… but, the only possible grace this movie can have is that Katie Cassidy strips and possibly gets nailed. If this movie will show Katie doing hardcore Sex, then this movie has something to watch.
From the looks of it, she plays Alice who gets clawraped all over the room and we all know Alice was getting the D in the original so we just might see that.

Well, I don’t know about this one, but in the OG her name was Tina, not Alice. One of the scenes, btw, I believe they are going to seriously fuck up in this remake…
This remake also seems to directly rip some parts of the original, like that tub scene where Freddy’s glove emerges from between the girl’s legs (what’s he doing down there anyway? Million-much, Freddy?) 
I don’t see why people have so much trouble with campy Freddy. Some of his lines were downright hysterical. Like Power Glove Freddy.
I heard the dude that played Rorshach will be Freddy. So is that a win?
In the original weren’t the parents the kids’ ages when they killed Kruger? And then he came back later for their kids? I guess he comes back sooner in this one, since the parents are older, from the trailer.
And a big thing with Freddy was the voice. He sounds a bit too even-keeled in that trailer, at least from the one line he speaks in evilness mode.
The original is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I’ll be looking forward to this remake. I hope it lives up to the original.

What makes the original hexology so great and so much different from the other horror movies of its time is the character of Freddy as played by Robert Englund. His quips and one-liners. His delivery. It wont be the same without him and it won’t be as good.
Like angryliberal says, it can only be as good as a typical american horror movie… and that ain’t so good.
