That probably would work better on the Gamecube controller. I was thinking in terms of how jump mechanics in the game work since it’s not like most 2D fighters where you jump and have less control over where you land and your momentum.

Also, Melee wasn’t an accident. Smash 64 was the real accident, because Sakurai never intended the game to have that much depth. Sakurai only had limited influence on Melee, and mostly on the superficial end. Brawl, on the other hand, he was fully devoted into making non-competitive after probably getting his ass handed to him and being a baby.
I feel so sorry for all those Melee developers who worked so hard to make Smash refined, only to be forced to work with this assbackwards developer.
You’d be lucky if they extended Lip’s presence in the series past just the item Lip’s Stick.
It could happen. In terms of girl fighters, I say at least Krystal and Palutena. I was shocked to find out that Krystal didn’t make it in Brawl beyond cameos.
Now that the shock of Namco Bandai having anything to do with the game has resided within me, I just hope they don’t fuck it up still.
I’d be surprised if we didn’t see either Palutena, Pandora or Viridi in this game. Thinking on it, I’d probably lay more money on Viridi or Pandora,Viridi for the Moe/lolicon and tsudere crowd and Pandora because I get the feeling Sakurai likes her and she’d have access to an alternate mode.
And on the clone front, I expect Dark Pitt/Pittoo as well.

For that matter, completely revamp Ganondorf so that he’s based around how he actually fights in the games and not just a lazy Captain Falcon clone.

Lip is a goddamn hero. She deserves to be in way more than shitstains like ROB or Viridi.

Lip should be a heavy character. She should be a muscular powerhouse like Donkey Kong or Dedede. Big hits and big damage. The strongest loli in the fucking universe.

I’ll like to add Dixie Kong on here. DKC is seriously under represented in Smash. Needs more love
Why Dixie? Put in the best kong, Funky Kong.
As no one’s using their fruit weapons from DK64, Funky Kong would use all of them. Coconut gun, pineapple bazooka, grape sniper, orange grenades and several more fruits not yet thought of. for his final smash he nukes the entire stage with a watermelon (it’s literally explosive and goes up in an atomic mushroom cloud). Funky would be awesome.
She’s other major Kong outside DK and Diddy. She was major playable character starting with DKC2. It appears that was suppose be a playable character in Brawl if the disc data is to be believed.
That’s meaningless. Dixie doesn’t have anything she could use as moves. Diddy had a variety of stuff from DK64 when he was in Brawl, but Dixie just has the ponytail twirl.
I’m proposing Funky because he has a lot of applicable moves. He owns his own armory for god’s sake. He’s a skilled pilot and mechanic. And he was hilarious in Mario Kart Wii.
It’s not meaningless. If she was planned to be playable in Brawl then that means the developers already had a way to implement her in the game. Nintendo has three games worth of material to work with as a base for Dixie. Funky always been an NPC. They’ll have to create a moveset from the ground up.
Which means that she’s going to be an exact clone of Diddy, stealing all his moves. That’s the only way she could possibly work.
Great job you’d rather have a clone instead of an original character.

I don’t recall Diddy being able to use his hair as a helicopter, use it as a weapon and lift things with.
im sure it will be pretty decent having to pass the nintendo standards and all. also i cant wait to see the chars namco brings to the table
