Next Smash Bros. Being Made With Namco-Bandai, Apparently

Smash is a fighting game series…

Deal with it.

How is it vaporware? This smash game will actually be released.

Smash is a game that just started development, and so is mine. Thus according to an idiot like you they are both vaporware.

Mine will be released too. You can’t call a game vaporware if it just started being worked on. Dumbass.

Except that this new smash game isn’t vaporware. Your game is actually in development? Wow, so you were actually serious when making all those troll posts bashing other fighters, and praising “your game”? Sorry, but I’ll take Nintendo and Namco’s word over random like yourself any day.

The could have kick attacks and punch attacks. Know how AAA is always a certain combo? How about if we add P and K there? They could make up some basic strings. PPP, PPK, KPK, KKP, KKK, PKP, and many more. Its could be pretty cool considering they have like no other gimmicks they can make up know. Different Air attacks, and it isn’t too complicated. Plus fox might actually use his hands.

Thanks for clearing up that you’re an ignorant troll, now I don’t have to talk to your stupid ass anymore.

I’m the troll? Wow, so your dead serious about this…

how about new directional input attacks

:uf:,:ub:,:df:,:db: on the ground and in the air with smash and specials

Too much.

Actually Namco had no input it was more of a low cost licensing trade off than a developmental collaboration. SFXT is the way it is because The team was allowed to run wild there were likely more restrictions in how they handled SF4 than there were in developing SFXT.

I don’t care what happens as long as Peach is Melee status again

Fuck Peach. I’m tired of using her. I want Lip and Palutena to be my girl fighters.

I don’t think that would work to well…I can already see people putting in wrong inputs when trying to use Air attacks to hit the tip of people’s shields with their attacks so they don’t get shield grabbed.

Edit: for clarity.

We already have something like this in Brawl with a few attacks. I would rather this be done case by case. For example, Peach’s FSmash could be controllable now with :uf:A, :f:A, and :df:A giving you Frying Pan, Tennis Racket, and Golf Club respectively. Same for Dedede’s Waddle Dee toss.

I would love this so much. You’d be adding around the current movesets more than anything else. I don’t think they should be P and K though considering that some characters don’t have much capability of punching and/or kicking like Ivysaur. Just take one of the jump buttons and have A and X buttons for normals. It definitely leaves room for more diversity than the current design allows for.

What I’d really like about this is if the strings are your big combo moves, but the non string moves are your resets/DI setups. Speaking of which, DI needs to be more simplified. I shouldn’t have to have to use two control sticks to have the most control in my DI. It’s just absurd logic.

Which characters in Brawl had something like this? My memory escapes me.

I think to date the only character that’s has a Smash Special is Samus so that could also add some diversity to moves that characters have if they wanted to go that route.

I wanna say Mario and Samus’ FSmashes have this feature. Of course, I have not played any Smash Bros. games seriously since 2008.

But this is sakurai we are talking about, he will probably fuck it up by defying logic and somehow making you trip in the air. And then giving your moves a margin of failure.

I think you’re talking about changing the angle of the the forward smash. Yeah I think Mario and Samus have had that since 64 IIRC.

Even if Sakurai is in charge I’m only thinking in terms of possibilities. I’m not really expecting anything I say to wind up in the game unless some of the people at Namco actually attempt to influence Sakurai with ideas or Sakurai has actually seen what’s been going on with the FGC and has a change of of heart on certain issues. Whether he’s trying to make the game competitive or not I’m just thinking in terms of where to expand and possibly make the game more fun that’s it.

Us “Smash fiends” don’t like Justin Beiber either.

just brainstorming a bit.
i had the gamecube controller in mind when i thought of this seeing as it has that octogonal gate making it easier to perform these attacks
