I was the one mainly using K-Vega/Rolento/Chang. I played you a few times, and when I switched out Rolento (I think?) and put Rugal in for that last match, I won and you left. Good games, though. Honda’s kind of an underrated character, so there aren’t a lot of them to get used to. Put him in K-Groove, and that makes it even more difficult.
I’m sure everyone here’s tried SvC, and I think we can all agree that it sucks ass. Never mind that it’s in a racing cab, I just don’t like the fact that it’s still there.

i just wanna say thanks to all the came to tilt today. Thanks guys, those were some cool matches. i learned some more stuff today, eventhough i was gettin whooped on left and right. how come everyone plays K groove now? about 4 months ago, no one played that groove.
anyways the highlight was the match between ricky ortiz and eric lee (sp ?) K - sagat, bison, ??? vs K kim, morrigan, cammy. that was amazing. crazy JDing in that match. eric pulled it through and won it.

Seriously. That was the craziest match I’ve seen at NPT in a long time. Good to know that the arcade is getting really good comp lately. Oh yeah, that was the most impressing rushdown Kim/Morrigan I’ve ever seen. Good stuff.

I wish I could, but I don’t have the money for it. Plus, I haven’t been to MGL in like a month now. And seeing how tough the comp is there, I’d probably have to switch to N-Chang for RCs, which I still can’t even do with 100% consistency. :bluu:

Tourney Special:
(This is only for Tourney contestants) $3 for 1 slice of pepp or cheese pizza plus, 1 sm soda drink plus, 10 Tokens.
PRIZES:
This will be based on per game and the number of entries for each.
1st Place:
65% of pot plus $6 in tokens
2nd Place:
25% of pot plus $5 in tokens
3rd Place:
15% of pot plus $4 in tokens
Please note if 1 game does not have at least 6 players competing no tokens will be given to that games winners.
So Newpark isn’t all that bad. If SVGL wasn’t so close to home, I’d go there a lot. The controls are really good, especially for being in a mall arcade. Props to those who keep it running so smoothly.
I suppose I got lucky against Ricky, which tends to be the case when I beat him. He had to go home anyway. Plus, I got stuck playing K-Groove for 39 matches before everyone left. No infinite practice…boo…
Good players out there, kinda like SVGL on a normal night. I doubt everyone will trek out there like they do at Sunnyvale, but it seems to be worth the drive every now and then.

Not to offend anyone…but Newpark has been the spot for up and coming comp and high level alike…just now are people giving it props…at first only “scrubs” played there…and now many peeps stop by…I feel its great all are training together and what not…it’s just funny how people change their minds all of a sudden…who would have thought…?

I never said the people that played there were good…I said the arcade as in the cabinets improved. That was the reason why I bashed on Tilt in the first place, Because the cabinets sucked dick and yet people still played there. Anyway now that its under new managment I’ll be stopping by more often. As for comp at Tilt…They still scrubs. If I can go there and hold my own with win streaks at games I dont even play(CVS2 & MVC2) then thats pretty damn pathetic as for comp at Tilt.:bluu:
