To say you want to play against more S groovers is i guess an understatement to say the least… Most s groove players try 2 copy or mimic Dr B team of camy,sag,bison or team cvs in s groove. The only problem is the you really cant mimic someone’s style and or how tehy play a certain character in s groove… For one it depends on the player and how well they know the game and their over all skills… but to make a long story short most of the players dont have a unique style or anything except for besides the obvious.I’m not putting anyone down just saying that you really cant get that much pratice or exsposure against players who themself aren’t well trained or exsposed… but thats my opinion…
Yeah, you can’t mimic “other styles” in S. But the same could be said for every groove or character in the game, correct?
Some players are just better with S-Groove than others. It doesn’t matter if you’re copying or not. Any good S-Groove exposure is good enough, because it’s so confusing to fight against anyway.

I stopped by tilt on Saturday and got some games in…played a weird K team…did nice damage…Afterwards i went out to svgl and watched the end of the tourney and got some matches in…warmed up S kyosuke!!!
Miscon: I wouldnt say people are copying me…everyone copies each other in some ways…and mix it with their style to make it a unique style in itself…Many tactics that i use in S should be used and if it works for people…then there ya go…keep it basik…and charge it up…

Somebody tell me a good day…or time…to show up at Newpark. Apparently, everyone is going there now instead of driving down to SVGL. It’d be nice to play you guys more than once every three weeks.
By the way, S-Groove is scary. So many scrubs use it now, just because it’s annoyingly confusing. Doc and Miscon are the only ones I can remember off-hand that use some sort of strategy. Although, Doc Bizzle gets insane sometimes. I need more practice against the dodging, no one else does it right.
Can you come down to SVGL sometime when random S-Blanka, Guile guy is there? He dodges and shakes the control too much. Teach him how to use S-Groove with some sort of control please, he’s really annoying. Actually, just convince him that he cannot use S. He really can’t. I think my S-Groove is better, just 'cause I can do supers. He sucks. Seriously. If you’re reading this random control shaking S-Groove scrub…stop playing, or get better.

My definition of a scrub is someone who uses the same easy to read tactics over and over again in the same annoying way. For example, roll-super, or K groove desperation: use their level 3 leaving themselves wide open for an ass kick’en…
I don’t think I know, or have played ANY S-groove scrubs. There are some genuinely good players out there. I enjoy playing S-groovers, we learn stuff from each other, what to and what NOT to do. I know what I need to work on.
I KNOW scrubs can be found playing MvC2 most of the time button mashing :lol:
Well you can somewhat say that any scrub can use s groove,but they cant use it the correct … And that could go for almost any groove… Yea S groove is crazy becasue its all about strategy and using what you have 2 win… Alot of people think its all about the unlimited lv1 n etc but thats not true it takes a lot of time and patience… but its a groove you never can adjust 2…

i love playing other s-groovers, i learn so much from the people i play against. Losing only makes me better and i hope that one day i will be as good as the other s-groovers around.
Cocoumi…the guy I don’t like. He fits your definition of a scrub. He will not anti-air, ever. He always dodges and counters. That’s what he does the whole match. He charges randomly, but really just dodges too much.
There are plenty of genuinely good players out there, he’s not one of them. I’ve played this dude since CVS1, same shit. Back then he rolled all the time instead of dodging, but it was the same game to him. Annoying. I don’t mind annoying like Buster or Misconception, that’s competitive annoying. I don’t mind annoying like losing to Ricky or Choi all the time, because they are good. I rarely ever lose to this guy, and I’m annoyed even beating the shit out of him. It ruins my day to have this dude come into SVGL because he ruins the sticks. Ick.
Oh yeah, I’m not sure if the competition is there at SF State on weekends, so you might be better off on the other side of the bay. Maybe after 5 on weeknights, but you’d have to talk to Brian and Chidi, see if they’ll stick around that long. I might make appearances at Newpark every now and then, just to see what’s going on. We’ll see.

I think I may head out to Newpark tonight for some Monday night action. I know there’s gonna be a tournament this Friday at Millpitas, so I need to get some SERIOUS practice … BTW, who’s going to that tournament besides me?
i know of the S-groover you are talking about specificly. he uses S-Mai/Yuri/Chunli ? The guy never charges or dodges, he just jumps in way to much and gets AAd. and when that guy is given advice from people who are better than him, he curses at them.

And the number of scrubs are decreasing, especially for S. I see a lot of Team B, but i’m seeing more original S teams. The day after Christmas i saw a really good S/A-Nak. the mvc2 comp is better too. The majority of people play top tier stuff, and know how to play the game, but still, they can’t handle my scrubby-turtle IM that i only know 1 set up for. i’ve seen 2 or 3 people who actually know the game.
BTW, I’m trying to gear up for the tourny on Friday at Sunnyvale. For those who know who I am, I’d really appreciate some constructive criticism. I need to know exactly what I’m doing wrong, so I can be a little more consistent and power up my game.
No no. The guy I’m talking about I’ve only seen at SVGL, and he only uses Blanka, Guile. I’ve never seen him use anyone else, just number 2 Blanka, number 2 Guile.
