MGl doesnt suck, but i admit the cabinets have been tweaking lately, we don’t have a regular tech anymore.
the smell can’t be any worse than in SVGL come on…really.
SVGL is a better place to play since everyone GOES there…if other out of towners don’t want to help out another local arcade and not go play there…you’re just hurting the community by not helping it.
Mgl is a better place IMO to play, but for competition wise, SVGL

Blackout: I am for the community…I showed up to the tourney at least right??? I get there…they start changing rules…buttons are broken…and it didnt start till 8:00 PM…and it was a double elim tourney…THAT would take hella long and I had some other stuff to do later…I wouldnt have even got started on that whole topic if “turtle” didnt open his mouth on the page before this…I was doing just fine until he started talking shit…And for the record I do go to MGL once in a while to play with the local comp. Who’s Ricky Ortiz? What team’s does he play? Anyways, I went to Milpitas Golf then I went to Sunnyvale Golf. I was the scrub playing K-Vega, Bison, Honda and N-Kyo, Iori, Yamazaki.
I don’t know what’s wrong with the stix there at sunnyvale. I was trying to do the 6 hit combo with Yama, but it didn’t work.
You know the one that goes. Jump kick with forward button, crouching jab x 2, down forward, into kick dirt, into fierce or strong snake fist… or you can run up with jab, jab, forward sweep, kick dirt, snakefist, or there’s the jab, jab, forward sweep, into 2 x half circle forward punch.

Ricky’s one of the best at CvS2 right now, if not THE best. I went to MGL today myself, actually. My bro and I played Ricky, like, 15 times, and he owned us both with A-Blanka/Cammy/Sakura (RC Electricity is ridiculous!). To my knowledge, nobody beat him once. He did leave, but I’m guessing it wasn’t until he played this other dude that he seemed to know well. Ricky uses mainly the top characters, for the most part, in C, A, or K- Groove.
Other than that, I was surprised to see another Chang/Rolento user. He plays them almost exactly the same as me! His Todo was kinda nice also.
The MGL tournament was VERY disorganized. SVGL has better comp and people that don’t think their shit is their fucking life… I can say the same for Tillt. We go there to have fun,crack jokes, and train for EVO…That’s what tournaments should be about!

First let me start by saying that yes the tourney was at first organized but that was because of miscommunication and things beyond the control of anyone namely traffic. Second of all every place has gone through this atleast once or twice. Third of all in responce to tilt not talking ish,hmm i think if you go back and look a few pages you will see that they’re not as innocent as you think… But that’s not the point… Svgl is the place where all top-tiers play but not everyone lives in that area or next to… Also coco didnt you use 2 attend sfsu where they had tourney’s ,maybe 8 people would show up if you were lucky, joysticks and buttons were both broken and people had to flip a coin 2 see which side you would be bale 2 play on? All I’m saying is that you can’t knock a place for trying and for also admitting that they messed up like the manager said he did… All you can do is apologize and learn from the mistakes…

Second, apparently, you don’t know as much about me as you think you do. I attended the University of San Francisco and I ran console tournies there. I know about all of the arcades in San Francisco; and at the time, everyone would come to my spot to play because SF State sucked… You can look up tournament results from 2001-2003 for USF. Now things have changed since I don’t go to school there anymore. You just made yourself look pretty stupid.
Third, I just had to put in my two cents in about Turtle. It’s not like we ALL have somethig PERSONAL with people at MGL. For myself , personally, it’s Turtle! He comes here and he trolls…
Lastly, this is the TILT thread. We’re here talking shit representing/playing at Tilt and talking about other arcades, strategies, who’ve we’ve played, WHATEVER, and that’s ok. It’s not like we go to some MGL thread talking shit. From what I’ve observed, the MGL thread is stale!
Coco you are indeed correct it was my mistake it wasnt sfsu but usf… where they had a tourney lil over a year ago and the tourney was bad, with broken everything. As to picky beef with you, I was just saying you made a comment about how svgl has better tourney’s and better comp, but yet the people who complain the most don’t even attend any of the svgl tourney’s…Furthermore, I wasn’t saying that I agree or disagree with what turtle said or did, I was just responding to your post in reference to how you say it was disorganized. Yes MGl has ran many tourney’s in the past but the one things that you keep missing was the fact that because of miscommunication btwn the mgt. I dont know where all the hating against each arcade came from, its just stupid. I know its fun ratting on each other but more than that it gets stupid. The only reason i still play cause of the competition and friends i made while doing it. Im a gamer for life but going out to the arcade for a bashing is not worth it.
