I don’t mean to add flames to a fire or anything, but would the rule be eased for a Premium Member, in which case SRK would already have my credit card and contact info? I was considering getting a membership anyway, based on how much I lurk these boards.
So let me just get this straight, 09 members can’t sell or trade, but we can buy from other members, correct?
It’s has always been a rule on SRK that all new members cannot sell or trade on the trading forums unless they have been a member for 6 months minimum.
Obviously this means anyone who has joined the website in 2009 obviously has not been a member for the website for 6 months because we barely into the 4th month of the year.
The earliest 2009 members would be able to have full privileges in the trading forums would be no later then July 2009 (obviously this would only apply to those that joined in January 2009)
This rule has not changed since it was conceived. It was the same for me when I originally joined in that I could not use the trading forums until I was a member for 6 months.
There is no preferential treatment going on. It’s just the rules being enforced around here.
rules save lives, as long as we can buy thats all thats really important really
the only reason we started cracking down is after SF4 was released, the amount of members skyrocketed and no one was following rules. We had to make it stand out
I don’t care if I can’t sell or trade, as long as I can still buy because there are some damn nice things around here.
I think a viable exception to the no sell/trade for 09’ users would be to limit the transaction to local pick up only.
That way the possibility of being scammed is lowered since no money would trade hands until they meet up in person.
Just an idea.
Damn, I really wanted to get rid of these two 20 HDDs’ for the 360. =/
Ah well, at least I can buy, find myself a custom box or something rather than spending $150 on a TE Edition stick.
Just to clarify, I can buy items from other members, I just can’t sell or trade, correct? I just wanted to be sure before I broke a rule out of ignorance.
yes 09s can only buy
what is the limit on how many people you can leave feedback for per day???
i try to leave feedback for like 10 people i’ve bought/sold stuff but after the first one it’s all “you have reached limit for leaving feedback for today”.
ummm…please fix this?
1 appears to be the limit for now, i have no idea when wizard will up the count
11/04/09 Update
(first post updated as well)
I know that i’m a 09’ member but what if I sold cases on another site in bulk successfully and sold cases individually and I have images to prove it. Can this no trade/sell rule be uplifted?

Hey, I thought i’d suggest this for the safety of sellers. On Paypal’s TOS, it is against the rules to directly charge anything extra for paypal fees on any transaction. If someone were to buy from a seller that had it in their post that they were including an extra charge for paypal, they would be able to get a reversal through paypal much more easily and the seller would risk having their account closed. I know this from experience back when I used to sell on Deck-Zone and Toptiergaming and I don’t want to see any sellers get bitten in the rear.
I just read the rule made on 4/4 .
I’m sort of confused… so does this mean I can’t “Buy” as well?
If so, then I guess just as a suggestion to just lock//hide this sub-forum from 09’s and later years until the 6th month mark has passed for us for it to be viewable again.
You can buy, but no sell/trade.
I guess I can see this being fair. I dont have anything I wanted to sell just now, but sis plan to list a few things here before we start getting ready to move into the new house.
Is the post count mandatory once you hit six months to be able to list something for sale? Some of us are more into lurking, but I have plenty to say if I need to start posting up!
Wait, can we post our eBay listings here?
