NEW Up to Date Rules: Updated April 18th 2011

it didn’t make the transition, unless it can be recovered somehow it’s currently not available.

Hey Val and other mods, is the 6 month 50 post rule to sellers only or to buyers as well? I remember it was flip flopping for a while because buyers can’t really “scam” people unless they have like a fraud paypal account. I don’t remember what the decision was

Originally, the rule was 6 months 100 post but that seemed a bit outgoing. Buyers complained on why they should be ruled out on purchasing something when it’s their money they are willing to fork over. This must of sat well with Wiz and he proclaimed all buyers able to use the TO, but any of the likes of selling/trading most follow the post/month rule.

When buyers were also banned, infractions were handed out like parking tickets. Way too many. This didn’t sit well with a lot of people so changes had to be made.

how do you update the title on one of your old threads? it tired edit but just lets your edit whats on your 1st post and more options just doesnt do anything literly just like a blank page almost. plz help

Only mods can true edit thread titles.

So you’re telling me since my account with 50+ posts from 2009 has been deleted, and now I have to wait to post my Taito Type X2 here? Can’t I just post my ebay listing here? I was able to create a new account using my existing SRK identity… meh…

So what happened to my old account???

Apparently your old account either got purged or simply lost from the system makeover from a while, though it may deem a personal matter in contacting a admin and seeing if you can recover your old information. We do not accept ebay listings here as justification in rights of approval towards the rules. You must have the requirements of 6 months, 50 post unless proof that your old information really was purged from the system.

Coming from a completely different trading site [pojo.biz], I was wondering if perhaps there is such thing as a ‘middleman’/‘mod’ trade?

I would like to purchase an arcade stick, but I would prefer not to spend that much money without some sort of insurance.

On the aforementioned site they offer a service through moderators in which the two participants in a transaction send both of their ends [my money order and the other participant’s arcade stick] to the moderator, once both ends are received the moderator then sends the intended ends of the trade to the opposing participants.

I’m not sure if SRK staff is comfortable with idea, if something were to ever happen to the moderator both parties could be outta luck. The middleman most uphold the most trustworthy agreement with not just one said person. The more parties involved, the more communication becomes ever important.

I was imagining that SRK staff were staff because they were ‘supremely’ trustworthy, but if no one wanted to go through the trouble, I would understand.

I’m down as long as it doesn’t cost me shipping charges both ways. I’ve been here since SRK opened

I would cover my end of shipping to you, and then from you to the other person [the other person would do the same].

Fuck that. Get this shit out of here.

The SRK trading outlet is rarely broken (granted…when it does, it’s pretty bad cough dj matrix cough). So no need to fix it or make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Is the feedback system gone or something? I’d like to give some positive feedback to someone I recently purchased from. Haven’t purchased from anyone since before the new SRK…

itrader isn’t available at this current time.

is there anyway to edit you"re thread tittle? i can only seem to edit the add itself< but i dont want to make a new sale thread, just update the tittle

only mods can update the title of threads, you’ll have to tell us what you want it updated to

Actually, it’s been fixed now, so you can edit your own thread titles. There should be an “edit” link next to where it shows your page views.

I have a butterfly knife that I’m looking to sell and I know that some states and countries have issues with these items would it be OK to put it up for sale as long as shipping restrictions where made clear? Or is selling something like this against the rules in general?

the TO focuses on the sell of games, sticks, etc. I’m about certain SRK has polices on the sell of knifes or weapons in general. I’d sell it elsewhere, chances are nobody will buy something like that on here anyway.

eperelez: ahhh ok that’s good to know!
