I thought this was pretty fucked up IMO. I got all excited & then BLAM he ends up selling it to someone…He replied to me through PM saying *Sorry the TE has already been sold. On the bright side, you can put that money on something else that you want. * Talk about low class…I think he should get an infraction.
were there any agreements as to how long he was going to be holding it for you? He’s still getting infracted but depending on the circumstances I’ll be giving him warning or level.
Hey Fir, no there was no agreed time. I was though the first person to ask for dibs as you can see from that thread, then Gavolution then posted next.
As most buyers, i asked for the condition of the TE stick & final price. Rtdzign replied back the condition of the stick & price. I ask for his paypal info & then next thing i know he sold it already. This is within 24hrs, i was not procrastinating nor was i wasting anyone’s time.
As for Gavolution, what about him? He already knew someone posted dibs, yet he still sent a pm. Im curious, if he tried to increase the price just so he can get it for himself…Aren’t we suppose to post, if “rcaido” doesn’t come through i got next? Doesn’t make sense or really fucked up for rtdzign to just sell it without giving me any time to pay.
As you can see im a scorn bitch right now, cuz i ended up selling a new SE stick for $45 so i can help soften the price in getting his stick. It seems like buyers/sellers get away with a lot of this BS cuz no one is laying down the law. Should be more strict & start going Judge Judy on people who cant follow the rules correctly. Maybe then we can start getting more class to our fellow SRK community in the trading outlet.
All sellers must update info related to the thread. For instance, if they are holding an item for somebody then they must state that they are. It is the sellers job to navigate his business, so gavolution isn’t really the culprit. The thread starter should of posted that he was doing business with you or marked the item as pending. Should talks reset then he/she must post that the item is back up for grabs.
Theoretically, it does help that other sellers post something to that degree. I know some do that in here just to respect the people that’s in front of them. Anyway, he’s been infracted. Again, PLZ respect your fellow SRK members when it comes to situations like these!
So… new rule is that you’ll get an infraction if you don’t sell to someone who asks you to hold something for them (even if you haven’t agreed to) so they can ask their wife for permission to buy said item. Even though they haven’t committed to buying that item, and have only expressed a passing interest thus far?
I could see if he’d agreed to hold the item so you could ask your wife, but it doesn’t appear that way.
Hey rcaido. I wasn’t trying to be a dick or anything, I just never agreed to hold it for you. Since you had to talk it over with your wife, I didn’t think that was committed enough to justify pending. Because I was unsure if you had permission to buy the stick. It really was a misunderstanding of intention. Think of it like this.
Here is my point of view how it went down.
Me: stick for sale!
rcaido: I want it will you hold it for me? I have to ask the wife so I’m not sure. Asks questions.
Me: I answer his other questions but I never agreed to hold it for him. He just assumed so. Since he has to ask his wife, that is not an agreement.
Me: Okay bye. (I hope his wife says yes or he even comes back to me…)
Gavolution comes in: I have money right here and right now want to do the sale? What is your paypal?
Me: Sure. I have no idea how long it will take rcaido to convince his wife. Here is my Paypal.

I have no personal grudge or desire to make you angry or what ever. I just sold it to the first person who said yes I have money ready to go.
I honestly thought there was still a possibility you would flake. It has happened to me in life before. When one calls dibs It requires an affirmative agreement on both parties.
In all honesty it might have been even cheaper for me to sell it to rcaido. Gavolution lived in Rhode Island. I don’t know where rcaido lives. Look man no hard feelings from me. I really thought you where still only showing passing interest. I had no idea of your seriousness and that you where running around trading this and that to afford my stick.
I really thought you where window shopping. From now on though I will be wise to state that I never hold anything for anybody.
I sold to Gav for the listed price $100, because he had his business in order was ready to do business, not running around getting funding and checking for permission to buy it. He was ready to go and requested my paypal before you did. Granted it did happen fast, but I did sell it to the first person who seriously indicated that they where ready to buy.
I humbly request Fir that you look at things from that lens and be lenient on the infraction. No terms where agreed upon in the first place.
For me I put “pending” when someone says, “I’m ready to buy” and I reply with my paypal email awaiting payment. Please if the rules are different from that let me know because I do intend to follow them.

I don't know if a cosmetic thing such as a mesh ball is worth it to you. I would not spend $50 for $500 spinner rims on my car if I could not easily resell them, but I guess some people would jump on such the thing.

Well it is used as far as I'm the original owner, and used it for maybe less than 1 hour to make sure I put it back together correctly after each dis-assembly from modding. Other than that it has just been sitting in the closet.
I have about 2 fully metal case customs and a hardwood custom that I use on a regular basis since I don't like plastic body sticks.

It should be pretty easy. If you were to open it up you will notice a perfboard pcb with a few resistors going to the LEDs. You don't have to do anything with that and it should be out of the way.

Yeah there is something wrong with that, its a dick move to the person who got dibs…The way you do your business can be severely abused which is why its not allowed in the SRK outlet. You go by the order of messages posted to prevent what Gavolution did.
I never agreed to hold it for you. It is unfair to have to assume I have to hold something for somebody. It prevents me from moving business along. Say it wasn’t you and it was a flakey person.
Once I wait and the deal doesn’t fall through, the other guy loses interest.
