Not 100% but it sounds like どうぞお肉をあげましたー!(Douzo oniku wo agemashita!) Means “here, I gave you some meat!”
People, i dont know if this have been discussed, but Sempu bu as an assist has a hidden feature that i think is very groundbreaking, i dont even remember being able to do such a thing in Vanilla. When the opponent is stuck in the corner and the Sempu bu attacks, if our point character do a ground wavedash right before Hsien-ko do the cross up, then, voila, our character will be behind the opponent, just like if he would have teleported… i know it sounds unbelievable but it works with some characters. I got it to work with Dr. Strange.
i’m still doing more research with this weird crossup/glitch teleport. All 49 characters should be tested, i will be doing it tomorrow. Didn’t work with Amaterasu by the way, maybe because her ground dash is different.
Just from how you explained it I’m guessing this only works with characters that are constantly hovering, like Strange, Storm, Nova ect.
I’ve been trying to run Team Darkstalkers. Using Felicia (Rolling Buckler)/Ko (pendulum)/Morrigan (Soul Fist)
I attack and build meter with Felicia until I got two bars then I DHC to Ko and activate rimoukon, then raw tag in Morrigan. I really didn’t know if I should use Felicia’s sand splash OTG or stick with Rolling Buckler and I don’t know if Soul Fist is a good choice for Morrigan either. What do you guys think/any general advice for playing team darkstalkers, I’m really up to change anything around to make Team DS work.
I bet someone’s probably already noticed and said this, but if you’re attacking in the corner, and your Hsien Ko pendulum assist hits (not blocked), and you don’t want assist-hitstun/damage-decay, you can jump over for crossup since Hsien Ko pushes them out of the corner and go for a really dirty cross up reset. Of course, that means you’d have to go into a midscreen combo and you also lose corner-only okizeme, but it’s an option. :V
Similar to the earlier posted ground-wavedash crossup thing I guess. This works on everyone though.
If you want to be a real meanie, you can try to only do the crossup when it hits, and when they start noticing it, you can pretend to cross them up while in block (if they aren’t aware of this stupid gimmicky thing kekeke).
Felicia Rolling Buckler Assist + IAD j.H = Unblockable (more or less) at the same time Felicia Sand Splash assist means you can stick to simple combos and do a relaunch with it to get the same damage output (roughly). So I’d say RB for the better players, Sand Splash for people like me.
Has anyone posted the ultimate frame data for Hsien-ko or is it pretty much the same?
Apparently, the data in the new guide is wrong in some places (cr.'s data in the guide being the same when the changelog said otherwise, Chireitou having faster startup), so we don’t know what’s right and wrong.
Oh, Thanks man for translating that.
Has anyone been watching the Miami FGC stream recently? It’s new. Intehweeds plays there and uses H-Ko with Firebrand and Taskmaster:
Streams often, too.
Not really feeling Firebrand on the team. Doesn’t seem like he offers anything for her or Task, but hey, it’s his team. Could learn her jump cancels too. But he plays her pretty well.
Hm, I wonder if the gold Senpu-Bu assist can be used to set up Firebrand’s stupid/awesome unblockable death loop… maybe not.
I regularly play Firebrand. The best thing about him is how he is fast enough to reach his opponent and execute a combo followed by Dark Fire.
I’ll probably try that team (Hsien-Ko/Firebrand) when I hit the game later.
Had something fun happen to me on Xbox Live just now. Playing Tron/Hsien Ko/Taskmaster against a Magneto/Hsien-ko/She Hulk team. It came down to my armored Hsien-ko with X-factor and their Armored Hsien-ko on anchor. As he came in I used Tenraiha, but he went right in to try and attack me. Basically we both stood there in gold armor pressing buttons until I managed to outlive him. It was pretty amusing.
Mine just says “mmm looks tasty” whenever I throw it. I am guessing it is based on the language you set hsien-kos voice to.
lol that sounds like it would be awesome to watch
i know i’d get salty having my hsienko get out armored o_O lol
was the player named tiicoon by any chance i know he used those characters in vanilla
So the hitbubble videos are being uploaded right now by some honorable soul who got the Vita version. I’ll post the Lei Lei hitboxes in the video thread when he’s got them up; I’m digging through the vids and haven’t found anything so far. Though I’m pretty sure some of them are wrong; Des Paipu and Zero’s j.:h: are definitely not that small.
Yeah I was translating the Japanese voice.
His gamertag is WTG N3M3S1S
And, he did have a Nemesis team too.
Here’s something that might be somewhat useful depending who your partners are. Most characters who have invincible lv1 hypers will attempt to punish whatever their foe did and expect to hit them out of it. Not against tenraiha though. By the time they see the hyper animation, most likely they’re gonna buffer whatever invul hyper on reaction only to have some stray spiked balls put them in a hard knockdown. In most cases that you trade hits with your foe, the animation for trh will cut short but the spiked balls will continue to rain down giving you plenty of time to prep another trh(+gong loop if possible). But with certain characters with quick otgs(chris, wesker, haggar, dante, vergil off the top of my head) you can raw tag into them to capitalize on this and deal out greater damage/build meter. Also, most likely your foe will not get hit by the mad weight so you’re free to use ground bounce moves if necessary.
While it works great on some hypers(jill’s machine gun sweep, iron fist’s iron rage, chun’s houyousen, frank’s shopping cart, haggar rapid fist), it’s a little less effective on some(viper’s emergency combination, v.joe’s mach speed) but work for the most part. Don’t try this on either x-23’s hypers, sent hard drive or lv3-5 frank’s survival techs. Bionic arm will result in both of you getting knocked down resulting in neutral reset. Have fun!
I feel so awesome now. I played against this guy in Ranked Matches and managed to win with my odd Tron/Hsien-ko/Task team, and he sent me a voice message after saying he wanted to try and learn Hsien-ko and wants me to give him some advice.
Can never have too many Hsien-ko players.
