You should take a week off from the internet. I think it would do you some good Solar.
I actually think that a lot of the low tier characters work well together, and it’s rather funny. It seems as though part of the reason one low tier character cannot appropriately shine is that his/her best partner is another low tier character, but the synergy is not worth two low tier characters, and thus the character is unused entirely. I’m using “low tier” in a very, very broad sense here.
I feel as though Hsien-ko would actually benefit from a nice, slow projectile. Maybe she’d like Rocket Raccoon’s double gunshots?
So you’re working on Spencer/Hsien-ko/Arthur then? Do any of the new guys look good to you? I think Dr. Strange and Hsien-ko are made for each other, since, you know, the only thing that really stops armored Hsien-ko is beam hypers, and Dr. Strange has that covered. Hsien-ko loves his tracking shots for turtling and keeping opponents from superjumping over her, and they also shut down teleporters. If Dormammu were not in this game, I think I would dedicate myself to making Hsien-ko work, because I really think she has more to her than popular opinion claims.
I too was thinking about Rocky’s double shot for Ko. I just need to see how good it is at locking down so I can go for crossups and the like. Provided I can control him, I might even replace Task with him. My team needs more bullshit anyway.
What’s funny is that Spencer/Hsien-Ko/Task seems like a really weird team, yet I keep seeing it in weird places. I saw it once or twice on GFAQs, EvuL here eventually found himself (briefly, as he said) with the same team, and just yesterday I was talking with a guy who knew someone who ran that same exact team. It definitely has some weird but decent synergies, and I may stick with it. I want to try out Nemesis/Hsien-Ko/Raccoon (which seems to have a weakness to beams; I don’t know how fast Minigun hyper is) too, though, and now that you mention it Karst, Strange seems like a solid candidate despite his execution barrier. Guess I gotta start reading up on him more.
As far as Lei Lei on Assist Me goes, she does seem like an odd choice and would be hard to pull off, but like I said earlier, I can only imagine the corny zombie-related conversation between her and Wesker in store.
Yea, I tend to see some very nice synergy between two low tier characters, but even then, they’re at a disadvantage with using a weaker character. I just wished this game was more balanced to see much more unique teams.
I’ve been working on Hsien-Ko/Spencer/Arthur in that order. While it might be suicide going point with her, the two assists (Slant Shot and Daggers) really benefits Hsien-Ko on combos, resets, getting in, zoning, and lockdown. I’ll use Rimoukon then switch out whenever I have the chance rather than only going for that. If Hsien-Ko dies, I will still have Spencer with an assist and can still attempt a legit comeback. As for the new characters, I’m not planning to use Strange despite that he might be great for Hsien-Ko. I want to try out Ghost Rider, Nemesis, and Iron Fist with Iron Fist probably being the best option if I want to keep Hsien-Ko and Arthur on the same team.
I consider Hsien-Ko and Arthur my mains but I find Hsien-Ko a bit more fun to use.
Iron Fist could act as your new Haggar with his Dragon Kick assist for both Ko and Arthur. Fist’d love Daggers to help him get in, something that might be a problem for him, and Pendulum protects him in general. Danny also gives you one thing the demon hunters lack: raw damage. It could be pretty solid. His air game looks weak, though you might be able to work around that.
Yep. Though, I will probably miss having the Slant Shot assist for resets and incoming mix ups. I will have to rely on full damage on combos and try to get Hsien-Ko armored as soon as possible instead. Still, Iron Fist looks mad fun to use and having a secondary team would be a wise decision for match ups and such.
Funny thing is, I’m thinking the same thing. Relative who’s an actress. Even looks like her a little. Hell, she does a more convincing Scottish accent than Morrigan’s VA, so Capcom should just get her while Max is at it lol. But that’s just me being proud. Max lives in Costa Mesa in SoCal, I think I remember reading?
I think Morrigan’s Scottish accent is okay, it’s better than the accent in the horrible US cartoon. Though she shouldn’t really have an accent, she may be of Scottish decent but she doesn’t live there, wasn’t even raised there. Wouldn’t have had the opportunity to develop the accent.
Her VA’s Welsh, which explains why it kind of fluctuates between Scottish and, well, Welsh. It’s not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, I think. More interesting than just Japanese, which I think is what everybody’s used to. I’d really like them to take a different approach with ol’ Lei Lei here, though. I expected it to be a little more confident, though I’ve said that a lot.
So a guy over at NeoGAF has an early copy and is testing stuff, and one of the things on his list is testing the jump cancels. Moment of truth is on the horizon.
From the looks of max’s latest video it looks like mashing hypers do about an average 50k extra damage. Hopefully leilei’s minimum damage scaling on hypers hasn’t dropped below 50% and I feel positive hyper viper tenraiha’s are still in.
Its on now Bitch, thats all we needed for some moral, thanks to for that info. Back in business.
The change seems so simple, but its makin me really happy.
I was planning to make a Lei Lei Okay face for use in a rage comic in comparison to Doom, Zero, and Dante getting net buffs, but I was too busy to ever get around to it. I think an I Am Okay With This face is now in order.
Hmm… Mashing apparently removes the posing on Shuma’s hypers. Maybe it’ll remove that awkward period where you can’t do anything after a Tenrai Ha? I’d be down for that, even if I don’t really like the idea of mashing.
