There’s a lot of things that Hsien-Ko should be able to do like she can in Darkstalkers, but that ship has pretty much sailed. :\
I’m looking forward to what she can do for Spencer, Nemesis, Taskmaster, Raccoon, and maybe Nova, and what they can do in return in Ultimate. Once I actually go out and get the game, anyway. Spencer and Task didn’t really change much (except for the… swing thing for the latter), so I’ll keep learning those. Task gets boring sometimes, but his assist works pretty well for the other two. Sorry Tron and Shuma.
So here’re the big things we have to look forward to:
• Mashable Tenrai Ha (will up damage overall; if you can mash and Gong loop, you’ll be able to save more meter than you currently do because people will die quicker)
• Jump-cancelable command normals (will help her midscreen/spacing game; might be able to bait an opponent to start combos midscreen and into the corner; might be able to do resets?). I’m refusing to believe this was taken out and is one of the unlisted goodies.
• Faster Gong startup (I assume this is another unlisted one. Will help protect her better; zone a little better; hopefully it’s fast enough to stop more projectiles like Wesker’s goddamn bullet)
That’s it so far. Just wanted to list what we have to look forward to so we can at least be a little positive. Also, all of Hulk’s new armored moves will require us to use Pendulum more against Gamma Charge-happy Hulks, or, at least, we use j.:h:.
Also, Darkstalkers 1 will be on PSN apparently. Not the best choice to test the consumer market with (then again, Capcom seems to be making quarter-assed efforts with promoting this great series. “It’s just Street Fighter with monsters!” says the casual observer) because it sucks compared to Savior, but hey, it’s a start.
Screw the ship, the whole God damn armada has sailed and left Hsien-Ko in a little dingy with holes in it…
Hey guys, long time lurker on this board, first time poster. I’m interested in the “Jumping attacks have slightly less float” buff as Hsien-Ko can be very scary once she’s in with her instant air dashes. I think that might have some potential combined with an assist that hits low.
Then shed be too good, and with people like us, people would bitch more :U. I think I’ve come to terms with me and Ko getting our ragtag plushie when everyone else got Plasma screens. I sit back and think: “I’m just happy shes even in a current game…even if this one is…:U Mahvel 3”
Id be kool if that were the case, and I really hope so I’ve been workin on that tactic a good deal, and using an overhead with IA dash was pretty fast if you went for j.B instead of J.C. The problem is getting in and putting the person in the situation to take it. Once you get that tactic down, gotta get that set up in your current game play. Either way u added to my already increasin Hype to play more Ko in Ultimate.
I think you could be right. Might bring back a little VSav feel, though like Jo said, you can do it now, but you have to open them up first which is hard for her. Hopefully Max says something about her being a little less floaty in his exhibition and shows it. I imagine he’s not familiar with her (who is besides, like, eight people?), so in his request thread, we’ll have to be specific with what we want him to show (i.e., jump cancel resets with example inputs).
I was kind of confused on what it meant. Maybe thought that her air normals would cause less float on characters, but it would make more sense that she would float less and I was right about her feeling less floaty when I played her at fight club.
Not sure what to expect about f+M chaining into f+H, but I could’ve sworn I seen this possible in vanilla. It happened randomly once to me… anyone seen this?
Also confused about the cr.M change. Less start up is good, but less active frames? I don’t know why they bothered with this move. While it was a decent anti-air poke, it wasn’t utilized much for its pushback and that f+M is just better.
It’s not possible to chain f+m into f+h currently.

I’m having trouble understanding what’s meant by jump attacks having less float too. The only thing I can think of is what LL.ND said. Any other ideas? I mean, what could it mean besides that?
I use a lot the light henkyo ki with low jump hits and that may help with loops

Morrigan was Shuma’s college fling, when he was a less seasoned, mature God of Chaos. Now that he’s a bit older and wiser, he’s looking to settle down with a woman that has a little more discretion and self respect. Shiatsu massages with Tenraiha spike balls seem like they’d be just the thing Shuma would want to come home to after a hard century spent ruling over the Chaos Dimension.
