I used to feel the same way about the JLF (too loose). I adjusted my grip and mindset (to ignore the shaft and think of it like moving the ball in a horizontal plane in space) and now I opt for the stock spring more often (I have two JLFs one with stock and the other with PAS 2lb). That said the silent stick would definitely benefit from additional tension.

I can say with confidence that the JLF Silent definitely benefits from having extra tension on the spring. I installed a PAS 2lb Spring and it’s perfect IMO.
It’s probable that they are the same but it’s impossible to know without a spec sheet or opening it up (something I don’t plan on doing just yet lol). Don’t think the D2RV-G-SD2 is available for purchase. Like @Darksakul, I couldn’t find any documentation on it.
I just want the new restrictor plate for my regular JLF!

The new version of the silent JLF has a PCB like the standard JLF. The D2RV-G Switches from PAS are just normal reed micro switches with tabs for quick disconnects.
All it means in the end you are using a different style wire harness. And if you know anything about basic electrical wiring, its electrically the same only the fittings a different.
Just get some wire and some 0.187 sized quick disconnects, two for each switch (one QD on COM or common and the other on NO or normally open)
You can even buy some premade wiring for this, there is even wire harness adapters available.
Or reeds complete their electrical circuit a bit further in, which kind of makes sense since they’re not plates. As in, they’re smaller and finer connections. Wouldn’t know though because I have not seen one in person.
that’s the inspiration yes, but that one in the pic is made from the actual TP-MA. (scrap one i had around, which had broken micros) see the 5-pin connector. it’s a bit tighter connecting the leads on that one compared to the madcats jlf clone one (because those were bigger, more space for wires) but it works.
Finally got mine in yesterday and played around with it for a while. I put a 2lb spring in but did not put a different actuator in. It definitely feels really smooth and I, personally, really enjoy the feel of it. I didn’t use the previous sawna silent joystick. As for sound output, the only real sound I heard from playing was when the shaft hit the gate from throwing too hard (problem I have). The switches can be heard slightly, but you really have to be trying to hear it. I haven’t done any serious mods to it, but I do really like the feel. If it wasn’t so expensive I would buy more of them.
To anyone else that has one, did the shaft cover it came with seem kind of coned? Similar to seimitsu shaft covers?
Did you try it before and after the 2lb spring change? I don’t play with a the shaft so I didn’t even look at it. Will check tonight. I kinda wanted to get another one for my other stick too
