Make sure you have that port open for all of your firewall software and your router
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG GOOD SHIIIITTTT
once word gets out about this…more and more ppl will start to jump on this and play…its a good thing for everybody…
good shit
Wow, damdai keepin’ up the work ethic! Kudos yet again, sir.
And to the people asking what this program brings to the table, I would say that its much larger game list is a huge factor. 2DF has singlehandedly injected some life into our young SNK IRC channel, and it will be very handy in running tournaments for Real Bout/World Heroes/etc.
Hopefully any misunderstanding is cleared up and people can stop hatin’.

I’ve played against orochi (and got owned ofcourse) on 3S, and the gameplay was fine. Good stuff damdai!
Great work, Damdai.
One issue… It seems to be saying that my port is closed on startup even though it really is open. I even hosted a bunch of games today after getting that message.
Another thing is that I sometimes see people get the “instant disconnect from server” thing right after they close their browser after finishing a game.
Otherwise, it’s looking great. We even played ghetto 4-player round robin today in the ST room.
I’m having a problem connecting right now. I was on earlier. Anybody else having this problem or just me?
same, everyone’s getting a timeout message right now it seems
Fixed.
I’m not sure how the port check can be wrong. It does the same thing the emulator does, tries to open a connection on port 27886 UDP. Did you have nfba running by any chance?
Right after they close their browser, or emulator window?
wow that was fast
nice… i’m in but where is everybody?
The disconnect bug is after the emulator is closed.
Thanks zerodot. I’ll look into that.
Update

[]Login screen no longer frozen when connecting.
[]Port check timeout increased from 1 to 10 seconds. (This may have been your problem Raisin)

I’d like to request SFIII: 2nd Impact, if possible.
Look for it in the next update.

I’ve been trying all night to get port forwarding working.
I’ve gone so far as to add my computer to the DMZ.
Now I’m playing with a program called "PassPort."
I’ve gone from getting a “You don’t have port 27786 UDP enabled/forwarded” to getting a “Only one usage of each socket address (Protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted” error.
Hitting “OK” leaves me at the sign-in screen and hitting enter there gives me a message that I’m already signed in.
In PassPort config, I have the following:
Source Port 192.168.0.100 port: 27786 ==> Target Port 0.0.0.0 port: 27786
Do I have this backwards perhaps?
What am I supposed to forward the port to?
I’m missing a lot of matches because one or the two of us wanting to play can’t host because of this darned port-forwarding and I’d love for this workaround to get up and running.
If you have any ideas, shoot.
Thanks.
I just tried 3S … it was running smooth as fuck till it slowed down pretty much all the time…I had one lagg less match…and it was fun…GGs darkhiryuu
You need to forward port 27886, not 27786. If you have windows firewall enabled, you may also need to create an exception rule in that as well. Normally a box would pop up asking if you want to do that automatically, but it has to be configured to do so.
If you get the “only 1 usage of each socket is permitted” error, relaunch the client.
