First post looks like a comparative adverstising. You should modify it to avoid this feeling of competition between 2DFF and GGPO.

It wasn’t my intention to cast GGPO in a bad light. I have been using GGPO since the beginning, even tried to offer Ponder my assistance, but he’s not very accessible, and I wouldn’t hold it against him for denying me. I wouldn’t accept help from someone I didn’t know either. But I also won’t let a bug go unfixed for months at a time. Regardless, I love GGPO and what Ponder and Inkblot have brought to the table. It’s a good time to be involved in the online gaming/emulation scene, and they will always be remembered as the revolutionaries who started it all. Anyway, first post has been updated to avoid future misinterpretations.

2DF is working out great. Its got a great gamelist now. We just need to get some people in the Ninja Masters room

Agreed. To be honest, GGPO, 2DF, and p2p kaillera all bring something different to the table. GGPO is most definitely the best client when it comes to playing people from afar, only problem is it’s pretty cpu intensive with games like 3s and it doesn’t support that many games. 2DF has a really good matchmaking lobby, and a ranking system. Only problems is again, limited games and it might not be as good as ggpo when it comes to playing people over great distances. p2p kaillera supports all games, and plays well with people who are relatively close. But like playing on 2DF latency is an issue playing people from far. So there is something for everyone, if you can’t get one to work, you have 2 other options and they’re all superior to playing on kaillera servers.

- i didnt even know 3S was on GGPO until two days ago, and currently its not working
-Secondly how can people complain because of the alternative? personally i prefer more choice, the best will prove to be the standard platform and people worth playing will migrate automatically. AND btw installing software is hardly a downfall considering its executing an emulator, executable. We’re hardly talking about a mere website here.
