Late to the thread but I’m pretty much not expecting Sakura to be in this game, therefore I am prepared to main Morrigan.
There are a few obscure characters, but the Grim Reaper is much too obscure. Plus, those spikes are coming out of the guy’s shoulder and not his head, so those things don’t match. Its likely just Dormammu with his head not on fire.
Why Dormammu? Why not Ghost Rider? Come on Capcom, are you going to tell me the former has more fame and recognition than the latter?
By the way, that shadow labelled “Dante” couldn’t be more off. Just look at it. It’s quite obviously Wesker, he even has the outline of sunglasses.

Yeah, in one of the pictures, you can quite clearly see Wesker’s shadow and it’s nothing like Dante’s. For starters, Dante’s has that sword poking up from his back.
I really hope it’s Ghost Rider and not Dormammu, even though Dormammu is awesome. Ghost Rider just feels like an amazing choice for a vs game.
As long as he doesn’t resemble or sound like Nicolas Cage in any shape or form, I have no dissagreements…

What makes you think GR isn’t in also? Besides, Dormammu is the Top dog when it comes to mystic villains and they’re representing all corners of the MU.

I think there’s a chance of it being Mephisto, but it’s most likely Dormammu, anyway.
Except Mephisto doesn’t have a flaming head, so it can’t be Mephisto.
Not really, Dormammu does show up more often(he was used recently aswell) and most Marvel fans know him. Gorath was so obscure, that some Marvel fans didn’t know who he was.
Also, Dormammu was created before Shuma-Gorath, so calling him the new Gorath is rather silly. Especially since he has more importance in the Marvel U than SG.
those “flames” could easily just be mephistos hair…but well wait and see.
