New Fei video thread for Super

I was a few beers deep, and i don’t know how to fight this match up so take from it what you will…

Stil searching for a character to play in SSF4. I’ve tried Rose, Guy, and Makoto but now am experimenting on Fei Long. Here’s a couple matches that I captured so far and hopefully many more. I’m liking everything Fei Long has except the damage on his ultra 1 lol.

His ultra does pretty good damage (more damage than U2). It’s just your never gonna land that shit off anything other than a Focus crumple, which severele prorates the damage it does.

You’re right. So far, i have noticed the only time I have landed U1 was after a focus attack which really lowers the damage. I like the flow of how Fei Long can be played so I’ll be sticking with him for a bit. The info that’s in the sticky threads are very helpful. Very good stuff to read when I’m on break at work.

I uploaded some online Fei Long gameplay to my channel

Just looking for some critique/advice/etc…

There were several times where people were throwing naked sweep out. That’s free rekkas on reversal. Keep that in mind. Against Ryu you need to be more conservative with ex chicken wing. You got punished in the second round for doing it slightly farther than midscreen. A better Ryu would have herp derped you into a metsu hadouken. Be mindful of that. Overall, I like your style of play. It’s a bit risky though, and I wouldn’t have done that many tenshins in a single match. I’ve found that better players get itchy with the the reversal DPs when you throw that out too much. And we all know what goes down when that happens.

I’m new to this board and would like my Fei Long to be critiqued. I will upload them sometime in the next 2 days.

Looking forward to it! And I’ll get to work on finding a way to add Tenshin to my fight style!

I should’ve hopped over that Ultra, or maybe beat with Ultra1.

Everybody that was in the lobby was going crazy.

This guy perfected me… almost.

the Guile match was pretty good. Just don’t rely too much on screen wide chicken wings. Ah, and with Guile’s sweep, if you block the first hit, do a crouching l.punch, followed by rekkas, fast!

hey guys, i wanted to know if you can keep doing the loop on sagat… is this possible?

starts at 1:10
and it seems to me he was using the medium cw.

Yeah I usually super, ultra, or cr.mp after the first sweep. I just need to develop a natural reaction to it.

Repost from the other video thread:

Grand Finals Second set, started somewhere after it had all began so I’m not sure of the score.

I saw Starnab focus the kunai vortex and backdash out quite a few times. Is that safe?

Yeah, well safe as long as it’s an instant focus backdash but a bit dependant on the height at which the kunai is thrown. She has a surprising amount of landing recovery frames after the kunai.

Starnab made them look like noobs.
Except that Ibuki player who was quite impressive.

Yes it’s how you avoid Akuma’s/Ibuki’s fireball/kunai mixup.
