Start your BnB with cr.LK. cr.LP reduces the range on the BnB as it pushes the opponent away more than cr.LK and it also hits mid rather than low.
Poke with Rekkas when you have that opening. Most other characters don’t have the privilege of a good medium-range poking move. Rekkas are fairly safe if done from max range, especially the LP version.
Where you can, punish with cl.HP XX Rekkas or XX Flame Kick. I saw that you let an opportunity go to waste where you decided to practice your BnB instead :-p
Don’t be afraid to EX CW through plasma shots (even if they don’t guarantee a combo), and DO save the meter for those moments. HK CW has the same speed, so if you’re looking to travel, use that version.
If you’re not going to cross up, forego j.MK and use j.MP for more damage and that steep angle. Use j.HK if you’re looking for damage/block stun–it’s got longer range than j.HP.
Find better opponents :razz: That Akuma was so flowchart lol
Anti-airs to consider:
s.HK for far-off jump ins.
s.MK for closer in (cl.MK hits up pretty high itself)
MK Flame Kick for those jump in attacks that are about to hit you (and for people right above)
cl.HP if you can master it (need a strong sense of spacing/positioning)
Man that was nice…Dhalsim isn’t too bad for Fei. I fought Sabin’s Seth and got raped pretty hard…I don’t know this matchup anymore b/c it’s been sooo long since I fought any good Seth players so I fall for all his tricks.
I found this gem in the Adon forum. There’s a part 1 where Mago loses, but its not really interesting since its mainly Mago trying to figure out how to approach Adon (and failing). Some good fights in this one though, about 23 minutes long.

Seems Mago’s still struggling to find Fei’s flow; he’s making unforced, whiffed combos and keeps abusing HK CW where MK would be more effective in terms of spacing. He is hitting that 3-hit Ultra spot on after a Flame Kick though.

What’s up Fei Long faithful. I haven’t played the game in a while so my progress with Fei Long hasn’t been much. I managed to get in some games late last night and tried to utilize Tenshin more but find it hard to do against Rufus (ex messiah nullifies the setups) and Balrog (c.jab…nuff said). Here’s a few of my matches that I captured:

I’m also not that familiar with the Rufus and Balrog matchup yet but I’ll try to put more time into playing when I get the chance.
I’m thinking of trying to perfect his c.short, c.short, c.short, c.jab, rekka combo as it seems to be a more reliable against crouching characters. C.short, s.jab, c.jab, rekka is also good but for some reason the s.jab whiffs sometimes.
After watching my vids, I’ll try to stop jumping a lot.
Ok no joke, but you mistimed like all of them. General rule is that female characters, Chinese characters (Fei, Gen), and Boxers (at least Balrog, though I think Dudley too) can only be juggled twice. Of course there may be a few that escape that rule, but there’s nothing new here really.
The other ones I noticed you just launched HK CW RIGHT after the FADC, which is totally wrong. Wait until they fall first. The HITTING FRAMES, or active frames if you will, did NOT change between Vanilla and Super, they are still the same rhythm of 242. Only thing that changed was start up, which can be compensated for with correct timing. This means that many of the juggles in Vanilla should still be possible, not only the handful that you found.
Also, it doesn’t matter whether you get it early or late as long as you get the hits in, since hitting with the CW gives a set juggle height. Honda and Dhalsim can be juggled x3 by Ultra 1 if you get the 3 hits of CW. Try it on Dhalsim–you can FADC into HK CW immediately, or you can FADC> pause> HK CW and still get 3 hits of U1.
Dudley can be juggled 3 times. You have to hit the CW at the very last possible second but I know for a fact that you can Juggle three hits with CW on Dudley.
