Don’t know if this was resolved or not, but I see no harm in copy/pasting the basics and frame data. That info is public knowledge and can be found in other places. Put up the basic stuff first then ask the specialists to volunteer their info.
Srry for being away I had to take care of some business, anyhow black I agree with the idea of the community getting games in with the staff. I like the idea of the staff being very active with the 3s community so im down for sure.
On another note Ive been speaking with some organizers and a few note worthy players and lets just say that a lot of famous community members are looking forward to this site. Based off the conversations Ive had with a few organizers and top players Im confident in saying that once the site is revealed we can expect a lot of exposure and contribution from these people. Im determined to make this site happen and I really appreciate the efforts and contribution we have had so far, so if anyone else wants to join in now is the chance to offer your services.
Now on a different note, another intention I have with this site is to promote and bring exposure to the players from the 3s community. We will have to do a lot promotion for the top players in our 3s community so I was thinking that once the ranking system is finalized and we are running ranking matches and tournaments, we will have player bios for the players currently ranked in the top 8 in the 3sEmpire community.
Now I also want to include 2 different kind of ranking systems. We have the ranking system based off online tournaments but I also want a ranking system based off physical tournaments. If we can manage to partner up with some major tournament organizers, we can make it so that the top 8 in major 3s tournaments can also recieve points that will go towards their rank in the 3sEmpire community. Since 3sEmpire is essentially the definitive community site for 3s, their standing in 3sEmpire will reflect their standing in the 3s community which will give it a sense of meaning and purpose.
It will be a great way to have definitive evidence as to who are the best players since the points will reflect their performance in major tournaments and it will give people something outside just the prize money to fight for. Its basically like the ranking system we see in tennis or most leauges and something I always wished SRK would have done. So to sum up the whole thing, we have 2 ranking systems that will reflect the online comeptitive community and the offline tournament community. We can cover both communities with this system and this ranking system will of course be divided by region as a global ranking system would be impossible to do.

Hey Black, we keep this as a theme throughout the website? It’s a really good idea, and it acknowledges that a lot of people nowadays use their phones to check everything. With that being said, should we use new HD pictures? or go back and recycle that “all orginial pixelated glory?”
After the site is made, how hard would it be to make a “smart-phone” version?
Agreed. Don’t think it’s necessary right now, but it’d be great at some point, especially for quick reference. I’m on my phone one right now and some sites are unbearable.
What really makes sites terrible on smart phones? I don’t have one b/c I always have my laptop. Is it the flash, the videos, the HD pictures, links, too much interactive “clickies,” or an overloaded combination of said items?
Flash and video can be annoying, in my experience, overlywide pages can be frustrating as well

was well aware of this and that is why im not using the site as a pure flash website. it will have flash based elements which all be accessable as html on a phone by links such as the character pages. logging in on a browser = character selection screen. logging in on a phone = links.

Cool idea ,my opinon doesntt matter but I would have went with a different name. Empire reminds me of the gay newyork team? Slumber party house? Not sure what it is, with the triforce guy. Anyway, the one thing u should take your time on is functionality and design. If it looks like shit people won’t bother taking it too seriously and if its hard to navigate they’ll just go back to using srk. Good luck, if you really got 5star and ryan, you can bet you’ll get some great stuff from them. If I could suggest a few more contributers, croyd, pherrai, yuuki. Yuuki knows allot about 3s, more so then anybody I know.

were going to have a super site and the wiki is just a holder for the how to content were gonna have on the site. the website is still being made and will very attractive and have lots of features including a fight your rival system where you can challenge other users to fights on 3SO and have your matches tracked on a leaderboard.

The site needs a name that is simple,easy and to the point. We had some great suggestions but the name was one of the few details that I had to make so that we could hurry with the rest of the site.
Black: The logo looks good but I would like it to look like the 3s logo http://images.wikia.com/streetfighter/images/c/cd/Sf3logo.png
Where it says"3rd strike"could just be replaced with"3s Empire" and where the "street figher 3"is can be replaced with the"fight your rival"phrase. If copy right becomes a issue we can always change the color scheme, but I would like the logo for the site to be similar to the actual 3s logo.
One thing on the current logo that leads to the wiki. Right now, the text right under Empire reads to me as “Now Right Your Rival!”…that can’t be right can it?
Oh and black im trying to find some other web designers to help you, so far the 2 I asked have to many projects but Ill try to get you help ASAP.
