Just popped onto the site while at work. Love the logo.
I’m gonna make a 3D 3S logo. basically the regular logo…but in 3D;). Maybe you can use it for something. Just my little contribution. loving the progress of the site.
Here’s a first draft, tried to make it look like the 3s logo, adding in some silhouettes. Hope you like it, will happily take any criticism

I like it. I’d add a bevel to the yellow rim and remove the harsh aliasing.
By 3D-ish, do you mean add perspective? That’s the plan. I’ve been brainstorming at work and I’ll try a few things out when I get home.
Good idea fade, finding a logo is important so lets see what the community has to offer. The only guide line is to have it be in the same design format as the official 3s logo.
Can I get some stock options early on?
I want the logo to be familar and instanltly reconized as something relating to 3s. The association of this site being the definitive 3s mega site should appear in not only ontent but in the way it looks as well. The font can be different and so can the color but id like it to still stay within that 3s feel. However im not against other designs so if anyone has another look to offer im open to suggestions.

It looks good. The only thing I’d say is make the Ken one solid color with no outline. And you don’t really need to make it look glossy; sometimes it’s best to keep it simple.
I’d get rid of the steel look entirely and the drop shadow on ken. Colors could use some adjustment and the scale is a bit off. I’d play with it a bit more and try out a few different things.
And the drop shadow on the text I forgot to mention that. It probably won’t look very nice scaled down so I’d simplify it quite a bit.
Yeah it’s much better being simplified and bold. As far as Ken I meant for instance he could be like twice the height of the text and behind the text but centered on the position of the ‘I’ in Empire (like where he is now).
As for scaling the thing is generally we break up logos into a few portions that can be combined differently where appropriate. It gives a unified look while still allowing flexibility for whoever is actually doing the front-end web design work.
So if the logo is very detailed it doesn’t leave me flexibility since at a smaller scale, say used somewhere else on the site or wherever, who knows, it won’t look right at all (usually proportions look screwy and different things become apparent).
And just as an aside I’m a professional graphic designer so I’m not pulling shit out of my ass. :smokin:

I’ve read the whole thread actually but ok. The only thing in terms of content it seems to be missing that you guys want to implement is a wiki. And since it started today more info is probably going to be compiled. Last time I try to give a heads up.
Just a suggestion: maybe it would be interesting to change Ken in the logo for an 3S exclusive character. Maybe it is just me, but HDR sort of comes to my mind whenever I look at that Ken, lol.
Someone red parrying or even having one of the 3S exclusive characters is definitely recognizable. Let’s see what the community comes up with when there are no holds barred. We might get surprised.
If there had to be one character that represents 3S, I’d want it to be Ken. But I think it’d be a fun idea if we could have silhouettes of all the characters and the logo changes every time you reload the site.

sorry guys i just got home from work (11:11pm), gonna fix the “right your rival” lmfao cant believe i didnt see that. i like the designs for the logo in this thread and can make a new one to try to cater to all of the ideas.
im gonna work more on the site and try to bring it up in 2-3 days. im also planning on contacting the owner of www.zweifuss.ca to see if he’d like to be a part of this project. Ill try to get him to make us a new 3SO character screen which would be sick.
