It seriously throws you off…and not only is it cutting out, it sounds like a radio is trying to tune in to a channel on my end. AND it seems like it’s dropping frames and running at 20fps at times. AND I swear I’m getting dropped inputs. sf4 runs great on the same connection…right now this is completely unplayable. I’ve dealt with the same bull in every single match so far.
the sound problem is getting fixed
Link ?
Play on low volume for the time being. Also, since its a new game you will need to hit training mode to develop muscle memory so don’t expect your execution to be pin point so soon. As for dropped frames, that probably happens during lag spikes. For me, I do notice it but it’s minimal enough that it won’t affect gameplay, unless its a bad connection in which case it can get bad. Hopefully they will stabilize it.
So like SSF4 and UMvC3.
3SOE, HDR and MvC2 were the same as well.
Rollbacks don’t magically erase lag.
The only issue I have with the netcode is that you can’t manually set the amount of input delay unlike GGPO.
I don’t even notice the bad sound anymore.
Only way you’ll get a decent match with no issues (excluding the sound bug) is if you play opponents with full bars. At times it becomes unplayable with anything less than full bars, but then again that’s how most fighting games are online. All in all, I think the netcode works pretty well in my opinion. Can’t complain…except for that stupid sound bug. Dat shit’s annoying.
It seems like it takes a long time to matchmake for me, idk why though.
Lets say every game takes 3 minutes.
SSF4: 1 hour = 19 games played.
SFxT: 1 hour = 6 games played.
Anybody know why?
Settings:
3 Rounds
99 Seconds
Same Area (socal)
Same Skill - Any Skill
there’s not an official statement but it is a glitch that wasn’t intended and its obviously getting fixed
If you want to get into ranked matches faster you’re better off turning on arcade request in arcade mode.
It’s not just you, everyone is having to wait longer to connect with someone and start playing. One of the reasons is some people did not install the game, but I think that only helps with the VS screen. The main reason is…Capcom didn’t optimize matchmaking for psn and xbl.
net code seems to be ass, i played all day today and i couldn’t get one non laggy game.
there was at least 1 HUGE lag spike in each match.
Just played tag mode in a lobby with 5 other people. Game ran pretty well. Only one big lag spike that was messing up my timing.
SAME area is your problem, it always takes forever finding a game that way, ANY area doesn’t necessarily mean lag either.
Matchmaking takes forever on the default settings.
5 5 bar conenctions 1 3 bar
5 bar connections = 0 detectable input lag, minor hiccups and dropped inputs. not too bad, actually way better than SF4/UMVC3
3 bar connections = sound was basically muted, snapping around, felt like playing mexicans on GGPO. not unplayable, but sound issue was fucking with my hitconfirms.
Honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised.
EDIT: On 360. I have a good connection and I live in St. Louis.
Why didn’t they just keep the match search and create feature from SSF4 there were almost 0 problems with it .
Although it’s some bullshit when you play two people at the same time in Ranked. I fought a Ryu/Kazuya and was mindfucked by the extra lag and choppiness.
Of course, it’s all moot when they reversal cross assault or whatever (two characters) and you happy birthday them with target combo into f-> hp xx ex snake strike in the corner, my friend and i were crying from laughter at how much it slowed down while they died.
where is the 5 bar marker in this game …i see 3 bars? wtf
IDK, If the connection is white then it seems really good. I thought that was 5 bars.
(I"m on a SDTV so I can’t really see shit)
