…90% allowed you to mash SPD?
I encourage everyone to install this game. It may imporve your online experience.
No, 90% of them allowed me to link cr.lk. Keep trying…
You literally are a moron.
Sound glitch is the kicker. I mean how in the hell could this glaring issue get by Capcom? I didn’t realize until playing this, but I use the sound effects as audio cues for my links and combos. The fact that the sound completely drops out, or is lagging way behind the action is unacceptable. If this were any other fighting game this community would be ripping this game to shreds in terms of its polish online.
Tried it and it didn’t work…
The sound glitches are the result of rollback netcode. This is the result of 10000000s of users clamouring for GGPO-style codewhen they have no fucking clue what the implications are.
That said, they should have included a slider to configure network smoothing.
I am may be a moron but I am not half as moronic as the people on here defending this games online.
It jumps all over the place dropping frames for fun.
NO SOUND
hit markers come and go as they please so your not sure whether your hits are connecting or being blocked
the inputs delay is up and down so links and hit confirms are stressfull.
you can’t pick and choose who you fight against and it shows everyone within a 4000 mile radius full connection.
Hmm so it seems like the majority of the people here and reviewers are just wrong.
I’m glad we have people like you who know the truth. =P
Lol at ignorant scrubs claiming sf4 netcode is good and better then ggpo. First of all, although this netcode is heading in the right direction, it is no GGPO. The latter is much more refined and complete.
In sf4, you are very limited in who you can play with minimal lag. Even players in japan get input lag that they complain about due to the netcode.s architecture.
In GGPO, not only can you play people across continents with no, or very little delay, you barely get dropped frames on top of that. If that’s not enough this beautiful masterpiece, you can set the amount of input delay higher so that you don’t skip frames. That means competitive players are happy and casual players have nothing to complain about cause they can choose their method of online play.
I know what you’re thinking, “Wow Albo, that means I can have online play just like sf4 and continue to mash DP, headbutt, SPD knowing my opponent can’t react in time due to input delay, yippee” But wait, there’s more my foolish friends!
Not only can you add input delay, but with GGPO, the difference is that it’s constant input delay, whereas SF4 has variable input delay. That is what makes GGPO the superior netcode.
But this aint GGPO…that’s the simple fact.
It’s the same rollback based network scheme. These issues are inherent with that system.
It’s based on GGPO principles, but I don’t believe it is GGPO.
This alone is what makes GGPO the best netcode, if you prefer input delay over rollbacks then you can simply adjust it. Too bad SFxT doesn’t have a setting like this.
Yes you are right that it is not GGPO, it’s something similar, probably in it’s beta stage, but my argument was to the people who claimed sf4’s netcode is better then ggpo, or those who made ignorant comments regarding GGPO.
Now with that aside, I do hope that Capcom patches this game so at least it comes close to GGPO’s performance. It would be even better if they give us the option to choose the amount of input delay we want just like GGPO.
I bet the reason Capcom Japan did not use that netcode is to save from licensing fees. They get more profit for developing in house. It’s sad but hopefully it improves in the future…
I can agree with that. Input delay is a real problem in UMvC3 and SSF4.
I wonder if anyone at Capcom of Japan or Dimps bothered to play HD Remix before developing SFxT’s netcode. If they did, they would have seen that it had the option to adjust the amount of input delay.
It’s amazing to me that a 3-year-old port of a 15-year-old game STILL has better netcode than anything coming out of Japan.
You’d rather have horrible input lag than some sound and frame skips. This makes literally no sense.
This game has more input lag than street fighter and marvel put together
No it doesn’t. There’s virtually no input lag at all. The other problems are there though.
