**Just so people know apparently the open box Asus is no longer available for sale. ** I guess some SRKers and random others bought up the last few. So if one of you guys wanted to get one you had to have bought it last night. The new price they have it at now is 179 with free shipping (so 179 is the flat price you pay). Which is still a pretty good price and you can also buy a 1 or 2 year warranty.
Random question, about how long does the free shipping from NewEgg take?
I would assume it’s the same as the egg saver shipping. Which is 3-7 business days.
BTW another good deal on the 21 inch version. 149 dollars when you use 10 dollar mail in rebate. Free shipping.

We gotta hand it to Evo. Those guys really try hard every year. And yet some whiners will make a point to blame lag for their losses.
Great choice on the monitor, I just ordered one as well :tup:
My only question is, will you be using the out of the box settings, or can you post the calibration/color settings that will be used at evo?
thanks
Can anyone who has the Asus monitor let me know if it has RGB inputs or just the DVI/HDMI/VGA inputs?
Newegg seems to say it does but I’m having trouble finding any other proof/pictures.
A simple y/n is good!
The 23" version is what they’re using at evo, correct?
^^ Yes. The ASUS VH236H.
Great, that’s exactly what I ordered. Anyone have an answer for what settings they plan on using? (default or calibrated)
Sony Bravias
There should be pictures of the back panel of the monitor on newegg.com. Didn’t look like it from what I saw.
I should be getting mine tomorrow so I’ll let you know how I like it (and if it works correctly seeing it’s an open box one).
Okay, yeah. i always forget you have to click for more pictures on Newegg. Guess I would be buying a VGA box for my DC then!
Please do let me know what you think of it!
I see it listed as $187.99, am I missing something? Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger…
They jumped the price up $8 (guess a lot of SRK members quickly grabbed it up). But with no shipping and no tax in most states, it’s still the best deal available if you can take advantage of the eBillme rebate (just paying through your bank website’s online payment basically).
Read the thing I quoted. It gives you 30 off for being a eBillme new customer.
Yes it did go up $8 haha.
Just got one. $218 for CA residents, blah.
My evo monitor arrived today and I can confirm that it’s awesome. Mine came from newegg with no dead pixels. :lovin:
I’ve got it set to game mode and the following hookups:
pc -> dvi port
ps3 -> hdmi port
x360 -> vga port
Everything looks great, no lag, and 1080p rocks. :tup:
vw266h or vk266h
so did anyone do any lag tests on the asus 26" monitors?? I’m looking to get one of those models, but just wondering what the results were if tests had been done.
BTW I didn’t post about the Asus screen I got in the mail yesterday because I was toying around with it after it came expectedly bad out of the box. Since it was an open box item I guess I got one of the dead ones. It had a vertical white line across the top of the screen and everything had a glare/afterimage to it. You could tell there was like zero lag though so at least that was good. Getting a new unopened monitor by Monday probably.
