Need Feedback on Lagless LCD TVs!

Just ordered an Asus VH236H from Amazon for $195 with free shipping and no tax. This looks like the best deal for people who live in California.

This was directly through amazon, not one of their affiliates.

Got my replacement in the mail. Works just as lag free as I said earlier but since it’s an unopened/unused monitor it came fresh without any hitches. Most reviews of the monitor are exceedingly good so I must have just got a rare faulty open box one. It’s basically like playing on a CRT lag wise. You can feel the speed difference between the HDTV in your living room and the Asus. It’s just smoother. I’m just glad that we can finally play truly lag free SF and play it in HD like it’s supposed to be.

nice work on taking the time to take all those pictures, but I have a question. isn’t having a monitor with inconsistent lag worse than just having a fixed steady lag.

also did anybody did the rockband 2 lag test?

so this was the evo monitor right?

there was a little issue with some lag during the sf4 finals supposedly and they switched displays according to the pa. still determined to have no lag?

so the evo monitor was hooked up via vga or hdmi? If it was vga anyone know if hdmi hookup lags?

TV they were using on the mainstage where the sf4 finals took place was actually a different tv, a bigger one. Seems during the finals they switched it out with the asus one that everyone else not on mainstage was using. That’s what i saw.

thanks for the clear up guys. i was way too far back during the finals to see what was happening on stage haha.

def going to pick one of these up!

This is the TV I bought: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le32b450-le32b450c-20090625155.htm

I got it for 320 im sure you can find it for a reasonable price in dollars.

those evo monitors are cherry. But i dunno what to do about recording from them unless i buy one 25" one as i think those have composites on it.

Camcorder that way you’ll get crowd reaction. You don’t need to do direct feed all the time.

i have samsung 2333HD’s and they’re also lagless

The 26" model (VW266H) works as well as the 23" one, right?

Went through and didnt see any posts, sry if this was covered already.

Not that I don’t believe you, but can anyone else confirm this? I was looking at this TV the other day.

My understanding is that for the Evo finals they used the Asus VH236H, and the finals were recorded. Does anyone know how they managed to do that? (Because the VH236H doesn’t have component-in and all the HD PVRs I know of use component!)

Many thanks in advance!

Geo: awaiting answer in this thread

Yeah, real talk. I’d like to know what you guys were using to record on these setups.

Need advice on a lagless tv. the evo asus models are sold out everywhere. i need a god honest LAGLESS 23" Monitor.

I know this post was like 3 months ago, but for anyone wondering, you could, buy a VGA Box, like the HDBox pro, and use a component distribution amplifier to split the signal from the Ps2/Ps3 into a recording device, and the VGA box. Connect the VGA box to the monitor, and you should have lagless HD Recording.

Also I this version seems to be in stock:
