I like the mental interaction between two players that takes place during a match. Furthermore, I like watching a competitive community grow and improve (we don’t really have this part right now). Mostly, I like the competition that ANYONE can be a part of. I’m a huge sports fan, but you can’t just up and be a pro athlete. There are genetic factors at work that, if they don’t go in your favor, aren’t negotiable. You HAVE to be born with a certain body type to be able to play certain games. That isn’t a limiting factor in fighting games. You just need the initial investment (game, system, controller of choice, etc.) and the drive to compete and get better.
The reason I started playing SF4 again is that you don’t have to look for competition in that game. It’s everywhere; you can just go to a tournament regardless of location and have people to play against. I think it’s a good game, but I won’t go into why at this point; the people who are shitting on the game just happen to be people I don’t respect as players (with 1 exception), and I don’t give a fuck if they like it or not.

Good games last night!!! Learn a lot in Tekken I’m gonna take back with me when I re-enter practice mode. BIG thanks to LingM and everyone else that came out! The player base we have for that game in this state HAS to be one to the best! Can’t think of a moment I was not learning something. Even when I was taking a break from the sticks.
Also great time and Tal’s last night!!! Now THAT is a session. Got some good games in, learned a few things need to work on, had a ton of laughs, and even chilled after to just hang out. Big thanks to everyone I played in P4A and KOF! Gonna go back and practice up more in KOF and learned a lot more I can do in P4A. That game is too much fun! Once I get my own copy I plan on playing it at WNB. Especially when I went to Youtube and watched some of the combos my character can do. Sooooooooo good its yummy!
