I, Nick Denty (Daaanty) along with Sterling Franklin (DJSterf) will be hosting a dance and fighting game tournament on Friday October 5th through Sunday October 7th.

ITG (DDR Machine with oITG PC. Runs flawlessly)
Pump It Up (this is in the works, so for now this is a tentative tournament)

*All fighting games are subject to interest.
Prices:
$10 door entry fee
$12 per tournament
Rules:
-Qualifiers will be announced on Friday October 5th.
-Matches are best 2 out of 3.
-The third song will be random.
-A player may choose a stepchart no more than once per tournament.
-Side/song choice: The higher seed will be given the option to pick either what side they want OR if they want to choose first or second song.
ITG:
-Double Elimination
-Theme will be default oITG theme
-Selectable Mods: All speed (excluded cMods on songs with BPM changes/stops), All Perspective, Mini, All Note Skins, and Hide Judgment.
-All ITG 1 and 2 charts will be resynced.
-Song Pack is in the works. That info will go here.
-Higher percentage wins regardless of fail.
-Prizes: Will be split from entry fee pot. 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20%
-Best 2 of 3
DDR:
-Double Elimination
-All Heavy and Oni songs allowed
-Speed Mods and Note skins are selectable mods
-Higher Marvelous, Perfect, and OK’s wins
-Prizes: Will be split from entry fee pot. 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20%
-Pad misses and dropped freezes will be recal’d as PERFECTS and OK’s. No recalcs will be Marvelouses
-Best 2 out of 3

Fighters:
All fighting game rules will go here when they get written out. Fighting game tournaments will be ran by Justin Denning (SonGohanX).
Housing:
We are working on getting a good hotel rate for people. I’m not sure if I will be able to house many/any people this time around, but that info should become available in the next couple of weeks.(Posted as of 8/16/2012)
I know I’m leaving things out probably, but they will be posted when they are brought up.
They should make a divekick sister game called downback. Whoever can hold downback for longer wins. Oh wait, they already made it, and we’re already talking about it!

Had a blast at WNB last night. Don’t feel so bad getting bodied by Havoc now that I see he won the thing. 
MX Madskizophrenik, Xaiah, thanks for running this thing. On http://www.tierlessheroes.com/wnb-episode-33-results/ a couple of things. All the links at the bottom are busted (they aren’t absolute links, they have the current page appended in front of them) and my handle is Halophilic instead of Halophitic.

sigh I know you want to think every post I make on SRK is about you, but sadly isn’t. Whatever you have against Ed is with him. The post of mine you commented on thinking it was about you was a joke to Ed, not you, because I like to joke with Ed. I don’t have anything against Ed and the video was like “WTF” to me, but entertaining. smhalls :yawn:
The whole “promotes discipline” doesn’t even make sense. No matter what fighting game you’re playing, you get hit, its your fault, now find a way to not let that happen again. You failed to point on one legitimate reason to play it.
Plus I’ve mentioned before in the past that SF4 is a good 101 level fighting game. Its simple, pretty basic, easy to pick up. You can learn footsies pretty well in it. But that’s it. You eventually work your way up to the 200 and 300 level courses.
And I don’t play Marvel, so nice try there. I’ve never entered a Marvel tournament ever and I play the same three characters for kicks, because the game is just fun to play for me to mess around in. And its soooooo entertaining to watch others who do play Marvel competitive. Maybe one day I’ll try to play it serious and have a team in mine, but until then it will be lighting legs into super every time.

I had mentioned having a gathering on Saturday; so I am now officially stating, gathering at my place in North Raleigh Saturday night. I want to get as many KOF people out there as humanly possible so we can get a FN’NM going. (either round robin or 3/5 also possible buy in to be determined as well)
Also would like to have other games (P4/Mahvel/SF/ Tekken/Shaq Fu), so if anyone is interested PM for address (Its in north Raleigh near Falls and Durant intersection).

You addressed Ed, and mentioned the quote to which he was replying, which was something I had written. Seriously dude, if you WEREN’T referencing my post, then we have some real communication issues.
SF4 is not a proactive game like KoF, GG, or Marvel.
You haven’t even given me any legit arguments yet. Wonky hitboxes? Go play 3S, Alpha 2, SF2, and look how retarded the hitboxes are in those games. You have to play a certain way? Elaborate because as far as I know there are a variety of characters with different styles to use.
You just don’t like SF4 because it seems like the cool thing to do. So stick to your KoF and Tekken and stop spiting on games you have no clue about. Asking for help in the Newbie Saikyo Dojo doesn’t count man.
Azn_Boy: Sweet baby Zeus, I do not like SF4! NOTHING will change that more than likely. We can continue this debate Saturday.

SF4 is so good people write out arguments about why it’s bad 4 years after release when hardly anyone is playing it. I can only hope after I quit fighting games people talk half as much shit about me.
