Yeah Armando, it was good having you around for the brief bit you were here. Definitely one of the fastest leveling up players I’ve met in my time. We gotta chill at majors and what not in the future. Annnd… just maybe P4A’s online won’t suck.
Take care and good luck out there though!
Not much has been going on Lu so don’t stress being gone lol. Watching mad KoF play felt like watching a better version of myself play, he pretty much does what I try to do with Duo Lon, only a lot more fluid / active. If that’s one thing I noticed from the top guys that’s different than how we play, everything flows so much faster for them, one decision leads into the next instantly, there’s never any time where they’re just standing around not doing anything.
Honestly though I think bala was a bit thrown off, he’s not ever put in a spot mentally where he’s losing, so I feel like once he got to that position, it was all downhill for him. He also seemed to have no Chin experience, but I think that’s everyone.
I’m moving to Greensboro within the next couple weeks so I would love to find some SF/Marvel/Tekken players out here. I especially want some good Marvel competition.
He should have Chin experience, one of the top US Chins is in his area. That’s not why he lost. As for Persona online, it’s Arc’s online, so unless they brought the Battle Fantasia netcode back out , it will be top tier netcode.
Its more of a mixture. The majority of the sessions happen on 360 but the biweeklies are PS3.
We have about 6 players that are pretty decent in Marvel. You will get the comp you need. Plus we are getting another person from Raleigh moving here as well that pretty good when school starts.
I think that veil did a lot actually. Bala’s reads seemed way off so I think it’s possible, even if subconciously, he’s been using peoples hands and buttons as ques for his reads. He didn’t seem to play like he normally does in GFs. Coulda been the nerves of the “oh shit I could actually lose” stuff going on in his head too.
Arstal: What Chin are you referring to? And especially one on mad’s level.

When they restock these boards I would highly recommend buying one if you want to do it yourself. It is really easy to install and its a great value. They also have buttons.
http://www.play-asia.com/ usually always has them stocked but it may cost you a bit more… better than the hassle of dual modding especially when it can just stop working at any time it seems.
The core group of NC (i.e. the SRK crowd that’s been around for a while) are playing KOF and not much else, occasionally SF4 and Marvel if you’re Jon. Our best players from 2+ years ago just aren’t into the new games. The new fragmented scenes, I agree, are just kind of coasting while the older scene guys mostly stay completely separate from them. That seems to be how it is.
It seems odd for me to just be playing one game locally though, so I guess back to some SF4? Unless VF takes off somehow.
I’m back on the SF4 grind with my newfound love for Akuma so maybe me and you can level up together Brent? Local online should be pretty playable.
As far as the new guys… I still think WNB shows a lot of potential. Since they’re new mostly, I think they’ve come along pretty well considering the time they’ve had to improve. None of us were that good with our year 1 stuff. But, improvement isn’t instant sadly. I just don’t see a reason for old heads to segregate theirselves from new players personally. That’s a good way to kill a scene.
btw WHERE WAS EVERYONE AT WNB LAST NIGHT? It was just me and Tal in KoF… come on guys. Gotta keep the game alive! Shinso Beam is playing now too and he’s actually decent so uhhh, yeah! New players!
