This is the thing, I was joking about gettin a 360. Thats a bit drastic for somebody like me who hardly ever play online anyway. On the other had its a bit of a inconvenience at the moment. But I’ll make due…
As far as BB well… I play it and have played since the arcade release day in Japan, but it lacks a few elements that actually hold it back from greatness, and it aint the patches. For a 2d fighter I find the controls a bit clunky and the amount of the animations seems drastically different between characters in the game. This gives the game a patchy Aesthetic that most developers try to avoid. Second is the inclusion of the mantel of “GG’s Spiritual successor”, that alone are big shoes to fill, not an easy task by far. I understand all these companies wanting to lower the bar, so that new players can get into fighting games but…I’m not sure this is the best route.3rd and final BB gripe of mine is the Character designs, forgive me but I find them bland at best. Cliche after cliche after cliche,sad really. Chinese Dress girl,Black monster thing,Cat girl,Shota, Shotokan doods, Ninja,Robot boss girl thing’S. Like I said I play the game and like it but its just missing something. It’s like that friend of yours that try’s so hard to be cool and down with your homies, and just comes off as kinda goofy or lame. You still like him, but wish he would just be himself.

Also GGs to those that came out to my place last night. More people need to speak up about what day is good for them, I had like 4 people say “any day but wednesday woulda been good” and yet the only person who spoke up said to do it on wednesday lol
The MK 1.01 Patch is not the initial balance patch. PS users still don’t have the latest version.
Cyrax and Ermac still have their infinites, and Smoke’s combos still do more damage than on 360.
For me, during the summer, any week day is good. In the fall, any weekday but Tuesday is good 
Unfortunately, this week was bad no matter what 
all of the people that have hosted sessions that i’ve been to have all been gracious hosts. i hope anyone reading this that hasn’t been out to a session in Raleigh yet really tries to go to the next one (anyone’s).
if you think you suck, then there’s tons to learn at sessions. everyone’s been open to giving advice (ask them specifically to tell you what you’re doing wrong, or what you need to improve on).
if you think you’re good, but haven’t been out yet, then sessions are a great way to prove it (and to yourself). you don’t have the pressure of being in a tournament setting, so you should be able to play at your best without the butterflies.

I’ve been taking some of my friends who I guess you could say are just now “getting serious” and like trying to sit down and learn these games and everyone has been such a big help to them particularly my one friend playing Weiss in Arcana who Longshot, Seventh and Brandino have given good advice to and my other friend whose into T6 where Demo shot him some good tips and Seventh and his friend as well. I’ve been to many peoples sessions and all of them are awesome, everyone gives good advice and it’s certainly made me a better player than sitting online getting inconsistent matches WITH lag after all.

Hey Tekken Heads…I’m up for learning how to play Tekken if anybody is up for showing me the ropes. The last Tekken that I really played, nowhere near competitively, was Tekken 2 and I used Lei. So my knowledge of the game is extremely outdated.
Same here, I’d love to pick up Alisa.
Myself, Demo and Seventh i’m sure wouldn’t mind teaching you guys the game. Demo is like the father of Tekken so he’d be the one to go to for character specific and advanced stuff but I definitely would like to get the scene started again and in tournaments. It’s a really good game for a 3D fighter and if you all plan to get into Tekken Tag Tournament 2 then I highly suggest picking the game up now. I’ll make sure to bring it to the sessions I go to. Honestly we could probably have a T6 tournament at EZ next weekend assuming all who are REALLY INTERESTED show up. I can count myself, and my friend, seventh which is 3 plus if Demo, blazin, josiah, niki, showed up we’d have 7-8 people total which I know i’m missing someone. 8 is just fine for a round robin or even straight up tournament considering at most your going to get for AH3 is like 6 people anyway since anything that isn’t super or mvc3 isn’t going to pull in those 16+ numbers in NC.

Well, for me…Wednesday has been bad since the beginning of time, back when I explained why I wasn’t doing Wednesday gatherings at my place on Dustloop. Not a new thing, and won’t change either. If you put up an all caps bold statement that your gathering is on Wednesday, I don’t feel like I should challenge it anyway. That might have just been to get folks’ attention, but yeah…if it’s only one guy, and they think it’s only them, said guy won’t speak up against things like that. Who am I to try changing everything around eh?
That’s why I usually ask about days for people. Even if I had wanted to post a reply to you though or say something on Facebook, I couldn’t lol because I can’t go there at work and my home internet was down.

Hope to see a good amount of Tekken this Saturday. I’ll be showing up a little late (family stuff), but I should be at EpicNiki’s place around 4 - 4:30. Bringing computer and recording equipment too.
I won’t be anywhere near good enough to do well but I’ll enter the T6 tourney to help out with the numbers.
What I really want to see is the BB scene around here pick up enough so we can have a BBCS2 tourney next month at EZ. I plan on focusing most of my attention to BBCS2 and I’m sure there are others that will be as well.
Marvels cool , but its silly. I’ll still play because of how popular, intense and fast paced it is but I like BB much more.

Okay I’m a bit confused I’m just going to guess that EZ is Elite zone in Fayetteville, but I thought the next tourney thing was on the 27th, but now I hear something this weekend, ahhhh.
Sometimes it’s a tad confusing when events are running in NC.
But ill definitely try to show up to any decent sized events running AH3 or MvC3.
There’s a gathering every tuesday (pending?) and definitely Friday at Elite Zone. There is a tournament on the 21st for Elite Zone. Check the elite zone thread in tournaments and events for more info. Nothing is running the 27th to my understanding.
