Doesn’t the title say “Sessions / Tournaments in the First Post”? Everything is very clearly labeled there, I even have a link to the SRK EZ page detailing when the weekly sessions and monthly tournaments take place at EZ. I’m not sure how much more clearly I can label it but there is still a post every few pages with someone confused. The monthly tournament is on the 21st which is next Saturday, the weekly sessions take place on Tuesdays and Fridays every week (Tuesday has just recently been added to the rotation). So tomorrow is a session.
On a different note me and Tom went to go pick up 3 CRT’s from Lucky’s and dropped them off at EZ. One of the employees told me that a power cord for one of the display TV’s was missing and that they had to replace it. Although one of the managers told me that he hasn’t heard of such a thing so I don’t know which story to believe. Either way I’m thankful to anyone who brings extra equipment and urge y’all to continue doing so but please make sure that you only take back what’s yours to avoid situations like this.
Thank y’all and hope to see everyone again tomorrow.
Stuff like labels don’t really matter it will always happen. We have a huge warning sign not to bring propane tanks into my work (we exchange old ones for new ones) because of some legal issue behind it and people do it anyway.
See you at the tournament next Saturday, hopefully I can bring some friends with me and yea i’m going to urge people to keep their hands on only the stuff that is there’s and give back whatever isn’t which basically applies for all gatherings and might be common sense but anyway I hope nobody causes problems to the point that we lose a crucial gathering spot.
I’ll see you there, are you coming tomorrow? I always love having as many players as possible.
The TV for the display set next to the main platform where we keep our main TV’s and it was the black guy with glasses who always sits behind the front counter.
Nah, at the current price of gas it costs me about 30 dollars to get down there and back so I can’t make every week. I’ll bring my PS3 for the AH3 tournament on the 21st and then the next time I plan on making it is June 3rd. I want to make it to EZ stuff atleast twice a month if possible or if gas goes down I could make it three times.
Just a reminder, if anyone wants to come by tomorrow night because they either don’t want to or can’t afford the gas prices I will be playing some MvC3 and more than likely some MK over at my place.
If I make it to EZ tomorrow it will be real late like after 12. Gotta go to a party, and then head to the Air port to pick up my buddy from Tokyo. He’s staying at my house until Sunday. He loves Street Fighter, So I might bring him by EZ later. Good luck to all yall, If I don’t make it out ,I’ll see yall at the New Tuesday sessions.
lol just for future reference, my place is always open for moving the days around if people want it on a different day. Bold + Caps just means I’m trying to get peoples attention about it. I don’t have enough of a life outside of work to really hinder my flexibility lol
Seems like we won’t get as many people at the session this week as we did last week since the Triangle players aren’t coming. That sucks considering we just brought in a whole bunch of extra setups. Either way we get around 20 players guaranteed from Fayetteville alone, we’ll just see the out of town players next week, hopefully at the tournament.
Sorry I haven’t been keeping in touch, I’ve been busy organizing this UNCG gathering thing.
After weighing options, I’ve reserved Room 274a in the Jackson Library of UNCG for 4-6pm on Thursday, the 26th of this month. The room has chairs for 12 people but space for more. Tables for sticks and consoles, plenty of outlets, and a nice TV. I am only able to reserve a room for two hours officially. If a group comes in afterward whose purpose is actual study, we will have to leave. However, it is Summer!
Dilemma: only RCA composite cables are accessible for hooking consoles up.
Additionally, I have some friends who work at Coffeeology on Tate St. I am talking to them about hosting a couple larger tournaments once our group gets moving. This is looking really positive so far.
I personally own a PS3 and one TE stick. I have SSF4, BB:CS, MVC3, and some assorted PSN titles.
I have a non-functioning X360 as well, which I will not be bringing, but I am able to bring SF4, SSF4 (I have lent that to a friend though), Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, and DOA4 for the 360.
This is both the first session and an interest meeting. I would really love for this to be a regular thing. I hope everyone interested is able to attend. I’m not able to get on Facebook at work, but I will make posts on the various groups on there when I go home. Please spread the word.
If you have extra monitors, systems, games or controllers then please bring them
If you bring equipment then please make sure to only take back what’s yours
NEW If you have extra power strips then please bring them. We’re heading in a direction where we have more setups than we do outlets and I would prefer it if we don’t unplug the venue’s equipment.
EDIT:
Y’all need to setup carpools and split on gas
Triad and Charlotte areas, where you at? It seems like none of y’all post anymore. Anyone from those areas plan on making it out to the EZ tournament next Saturday?
Yeah I just paid $4 a gallon here in Wilson so I wont be making EZ this week. But I an guarantee I will be there at least once or twice a month for some Grandson’s lol.
I will be at the session in RDU tomorrow though. I really look forward to getting some good games going in Tekken and somebody (READ Rob) can show me some good Arcana.
