No he will not, being on Jay Leno and especially the Tonight Show still brings money. Everyone forgets their “morals” when dollars come into play.
Why hate Jay? He never fucked the game up. Fidgety executives did.
personally for me its not the fact he’s taking the show back its the fact he acting like he wasnt going to. and dissing nbc as if he was gonna leave when he really knows he was never gonna leave. if he was just straight and said yeah its screwed up what they did to conan but its the fucking tonight show…i wouldnt be so anti jay.
jay got placed in an akward position but he responded in a shady way.
It’s easier to blame someone with a face, and Leno’s got a big face.
its funny how people really thought he spent nbc’s money. can we tell people santa really exists while we’re at it?
I can’t believe there are people on SRK who thought he was. Yeesh.
I really don’t blame Jay at all. He never wanted to leave in the first place. Granted that spiel about passing the baton may seem two-faced now, but that was 5 years ago and a lot changes in 5 years. Furthermore at the beginning of the speech you can tell that he was reluctant to leave even then. The problem is the lack of backbone and foresight of the NBC execs. The smart move would have been to keep Jay in the first place. I love Conan, but how the fuck do you do better than #1? He was #1 for years so why change then? If anything Conan should have been offered the 10 o’clock show.
I guess the dust has finally settled a bit. The past few weeks were pretty much the most entertainment I’ve gotten from late night TV, ever.
conan was perfect where he was…thats the college power hour. late nite study time…he did well in his spot. and jay did well in his spot…it made no senseto move either. all it was, was purely an age thing. they clearly thought jay was too old and it was time to get someone younger…even though carson didnt leave til he was hella old.
Well the execs had to do something because Conan was going to walk if they didn’t. He wasn’t willing to just stay where he was at. I understand the “Jay too old” argument, but he was #1 for a long time. You don’t replace someone who’s #1 because someday in the future he may possibly slip. That job should have been his for as long as he wanted or until he slipped consistently in the ratings. The problem is that neither of those were the case. He was doing well and wanted to stay, and thus should have never been replaced. I don’t think anyone would have blamed him if he said “fuck no I’m not going anywhere”. The problem you have now is that everyone has their own view of how things went down and he’s now being vilified.
Just the thought of that bullshit always gets me laughing. Those morons seriously thought they were going to make a dent and MW2 went on to sell like a mil in one day.
Somewhere out there… Jay Leno is laughing
lol. u wanna see how bad jimmy fallon gets shitted on…check this…lol jay leno beasting.

Whose money is he spending? I mean he did air an unrestricted footage of the NFL, which is prohibited. Someone is paying for that.
great episode.
I doubt it was legit footage. It was probably just stock video of football that they use in tv shows and such.
That clip had nothing to do with Leno… It was just Fallon being Fallon… AKA not being funny.
Conan addressing his fans near the end of his last Tonight Show was the most emotional I’ve ever seen Conan in all the years he’s been on TV.
^_-;
that was some good stuff. conan rocked dat shiz out.
Looks like a good opportunity to sell some bridges!
