NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top

thats alot of hamsters.

That was an awesome fade out. I wanna lean on a Vayron like I own it.

Yeah all 10 people who got that reference

if i record on DVR, does it count as watching?

Tomorrow’s Conan should be beast; the Washington Generals mailed Conan an offer to play for them (Andy too). Letter is pretty funny actually, it’ll be interesting to see what Conan says (possible skit?)

iit doesnt really matter since u dont have a nielson box.

No, I don’t think so.

Yes, dvr viewings are tallied. there are more types of ratings that the industry uses than just those from the neilson box (aka the most archaic piece of electronics in existence.

If it’s anything like Fox, DVR viewings don’t affect ratings and therefor don’t mean shit.

History shows that DVR is only good for getting shows on DVD. Not keeping them on the air.

plus then u got networks who like to fuck wit dvrs and will set shows to last a couple min more, than scehduled.

You know, if you divvy up the $8.1 million settlement Conan got for his staff of 200, that only comes out to roughly $40,500 per person. That’s not even a year’s salary if it’s divided up evenly, and you and I both know it won’t be. Meanwhile, at least Leno is keeping his people employed.

LOL Conan is going buckwild right now, because he can literally do anything he wants, and spend however much of NBC’s money he wants, until the contract is up.

He just showcased a Bugatti dressed up as a mouse while playing a rolling stones classic, and the punchline of the bit was to exclaim about the 1.5 million dollar price tag of the car and the right to play the song.

Advertisers won’t really take DVR views into account as much because they know people will fast forward through the commercials.

Yikes. And that’s before taxes.

Its official, Conan’s last show is Friday.

@Sep: the money.cnn article posted says that he got a 12 million severance for his staff too so if the 200 number is correct, that should be 60,000 not including taxes.

hell i wish i was lucky enough to get a 60,000 check if i lost my job

I’d be happy with a twenty.

its a decent amount while they look for a new job and if he gets picked up by another network im pretty sure hed want most of his old staff

man Conan’s skit with the car mouse and rolling stone’s satisifaction song was great. A big screw u NBC for $1.5 million.

What crazy purchases is he going to think of next?

Make it rain Conan!

NBC owns Conan’s intelectual property. Leno should use Triumph the Dog the first night back in March.

I loved the Hangover Peacock song. LOL

Make it rain Conan!
