Nash General Thread: Charlie (Nash) finally revealed!

So I decided to screw around a bit with Nash when he dropped for the Beta and ran into Floe. After the match when I went into his stream and said GG, he started saying I have Walmart internet and his dick sucker people in the stream chat started talking mad shit.

Played a few matches and had some time to feel out the ‘new’ Nash.

Things I found:
-st.mk is now cancellable so I think this makes it a better poke (st.mk XX lk scythe)
-Cancelling into V-trigger from raw Booms is retarded now and seems impossible and useless at this point
-The standard max damage V-trigger combo doesnt work (cr.Hp, b.mk, Boom, Trigger etc) the boom never counted to the hits, but may serve as a good reset ?
-st.Hk seems better as an AA now
-I think they improved the hitbox on his Critical Art, it didnt whiff on any jump-ins, even when they where close to landing behind me

I might have spoken too soon on s.mk. Been testing it in training and in matches and it’s a great a anti-air. I been finding more reliable than cr.hp and cr.mp.

Apparently Bison’s back too… ugh. Just fought one.

Fought my first Bison. c.MP scissors train all over again. Ken’s flowchart is more varied than this shit LOL.

To Floe, anti airs are like chin ups.

Not only is his s.mk a great AA now it’s also cancelable! Nash can do a better job on keeping the pressure on when he AAs. You catch your opponent high enough in the jump you can use HP tragic assault to catch them out the air as they fall.

Seems like cr.Hp and v-skill dont combo regularly anymore either. I do like the fact that they took the directional inputs out of Nash’s target combos. Makes them alot easier to do for a on the fly punish.

oh wow, s.mk cancellable is definitely new. i’ve been saying its a great move before and now it’s officially sick

v-skill is nerfed tho it seems. feels slower and it doesn’t link from mp anymore

EX Scythe is a legit anti-air now

Tragedy Assault is still shit it seems. Slightly faster but still insanely punishable on block, the reward on hit is minimal, just a small chunk of meter gain.

MK Scythe is still a legit ass poke. Unpunishable at the right ranges.

f+LK a viable move now. Counter hit combo only works mid distance or further, point blank and you can’t link jab for some reason.

f+HP crumples on CC but I can’t find a decent combo after.

Can’t do Sonic Boom xx teleport nonsense anymore but that wasn’t really a staple of my gameplay.

You can V-trigger out of F.Hp now for hit confirms!!

I was fighting the CPU on max difficulty and it did CC F.hp Air trigger and got the full confirm

I actually did find this but was hoping for something meterless just to consistently put the fear in DP mashers. s.HP as CC seems kinda crappy as well

Hmm maybe I should play against CPU see if it can show me some technology.

And was c.MP always cancellable? Don’t remember it being but maybe I just forgot…
