Nash General Thread: Charlie (Nash) finally revealed!

I’m away from console but apparently Nash is back.

Time to test out the extent of these nerfs guys.

They took away his down + HPHK vtrigger. . . what a stupid move nash wasnt even that great before.

Nash’s s.mk whiffs on crouchers now. You need to be in their face for it connect.

did nash’s super chip kill before? it does now.

Its like Combofiend lost to a buncha japanese players so they nerfed him

c.MP still seems good for AA

Chip on super is a buff. He didn’t have that in the first beta.

It seems that bazooka knee is safe now. Need more testing to be sure.

Well hes easily the worst character in the game now. Waste of a character slot unless they take away these nerfs.

Don’t see a reason to use this as a poke over f+MK tbh.

So I’ve read his V-trigger inputs are different, don’t know how, and his super chips now. His s.MK whiffs on crouchers… any other differences y’all have noticed, please post them up.

Anything xx HK or EX Scythe xx Air V-Trigger, j.HK, EX Scythe is so pointless now (it was probably pointless back in the 1st builds also).

More optimal to do.

Anything xx MP Boom xx Air V-Trigger, j.HP, c.HP, b+MK, HK Scythe.

Edit: Nevermind, the latter is distance specific, still good if you get the correct range, I swear MP Boom would hit at a further range before but not anymore =(

It seems LP and MP tragic assault has reduced startup and recovery. They are much quicker now than the first beta. LP is faster enough that I can combo it if I land a counter hit. HP version still sucks.

Wait a minute? Xian said s.LK got nerfed.

I’m using it and it still feels pretty godlike… I can’t interrupt with buttons after, on counter hit it still combos into c.MP for a full combo.

I must be missing something here, it feels close to the same as it was in the beta build, where it was a godly upclose button.

Fuck this version of nash to death

I used it when I wanted to a stationary move with low crush. It was useful against wake-up jabs and a big help in the Chun match-up. This nerf makes the move and the target combo that starts from it useless now.

bazooka knee/f+LK is now 0 on block. Did jump test both Nash’s jump and fell on exact frame.

Hmm, guess I never really used the Target Combo. Combofiend was talking of it being good but never saw success when I used it… Just stuck to f+MK and f+HK at midrange. I’m think f+LK might be the new hotness vs wakeup buttons, safe, combo on counter hit. So glad they made this move legit.
