graphics might be ass in some ways but it’s miles ahead of SF4. i loved the art styles in sf2/3/A but hated 4. this is a step in the right direction. may not be perfect but it’s something.

It did. But if you notice, it also says at the bottom left “Work in progress gameplay footage”. They never intended this to be the final appearance of the game and I sincerely doubt they would change direction after a handful of whiners on internet forums. The good news is, what we saw in the latest trailer is ALSO not the final form of these characters and they will likely be tweaked further down the line.
I’m all for a darker and grittier SF with a less saturated color palette, but not necessarily more realistic character models. I prefer the characters to still look like animation than Tekken knock offs.
Their past actions do not justify their present ones, this has never been the case for anything. I’m not gonna speak about SF4 hate, because I really don’t see the point. It’s a well recieved game in general and most of the hate comes from hipsters anyway. However, Capcom lately has been one failure and terrible business practice after the other, and they continue to stomp all their beloved franchises into the ground while simultaneously shitting on the fans of said franchise. Literally their only ones left they haven’t ruined are SF, Phoenix Wright and Monster Hunter at this point. And you’re surprised people get angry when a company keeps treating them like shit and makes all the wrong decisions?
I feel really stupid, they altered the graphics to get people debating. its more than likely the graphical build for low to midrange pc.

The reason this industry is a trainwreck has nothing to do with forums but how gamers today are completely retards with their wallets. Look at Evolved, it has a F2P structure but you paid for it as if its a AAA game. This shit is only happening cause all these idiots out there that buy the games are voting with their wallets. There are gamers out there buying Seasons passes at $30 a pop without knowing whats coming out in the future. Its unreal! Forums is the last place any major gaming companies gets their feed back on what they should be doing. Most of you guys cant even run your own business let alone a multi-million dollar corporations.

I wasn’t claiming companies should listen to their entire customer base, but there’s a difference between not listening to all of them and completely ignoring any kind of feedback. You don’t need to be terribly invested in videogames to see no one at Capcom seems to have the faintest idea of what they’re doing these days, or gives even the slightest fuck about how their games are being received. Also, to bring up an example similar to yours, if people didn’t go full pitchforks and torches on Ubisoft after the release of AC Unity they probably would have never properly fixed their mess of a game.
Sorry if I gave you the idea I was implying Capcom should listen to just anyone on a forum. I was talking about games in general, not anything specific to FG-related forums.
They ‘altered’ the graphics because the graphical design at the time of first showcase was incomplete. The game in currently in alpha and there are no set specifics about, quite literally, everything. The graphical design won’t be finished until probably the public beta they are advertising is complete and its still not going to be completely set in stone then, most likely.
I agree with the first part, however not the second well at least in Capcom’s case. They pay too much attention to what nobodies say, and thus their product suffers tremendously.

I agree that Evolve is dog shit but Angry Joe is a barely literate fucktard and I don’t think he’s the best choice for a critical takedown of the game.
