Gamescom trailer…
Im not looking too optimistic about this version…this trailer didn’t catch my interest, More character don’t justify the way they changed the game. Maybe im being butt hurt but the changes im hearing rub me off the wrong way.
Eh, I didn’t think I’d like the changes made in Revolution but that game still turned out to be a blast. I’m withholding judgement for now.
The only thing that truly upsets me is not being able to instant awaken anymore.

Play Storm 3 to get a closer taste of what the new game will be like, and play Revolution for the most up to date title. Both are great games.
Never played the storm games so ive got two Questions.
Are there any other ways to land damage on your opponent apart from guard breaks and predicting when your opponent will attack and using the parry/ counter?
is the game more than who uses up their substitution bar first?
You have grabs, paper bombs, bomb balls, assists, etc to open people up.
If the players no what they’re doing, yes. If not, that’s all it’ll seem like.

We don’t know what all the returning characters are capable of. A lot of characters received small changes with Revolution.
This is also glossing over the fact that those three characters didn’t even have relevance for like what, the last 3 or 4 hundred issues of Naruto? Lmao.
Relevance to the manga/anime =/= not worthy of an update. Juugo has been requested for an update since his first appearance in the Storm games, almost as much as Suigetsu.
There was already a scan that should no change to their movesets. I mean, Naruto in Ashura mode doesn’t get a new Secret Technique…so the likelihood of an update to those characters is unlikely.
In a game based heavily on fan service and mimicing the likeness of the source material, yes, their relevance in the show actually does matter because it decides who and who doesn’t get recognition in the games. Why do you think we can’t play as characters like Zetsu or Mikoto? Because CyberConnect knows that nobody really cares about those types of characters.
It’s the same story with a character like Suigetsu. Sure he could use a few tweaks and buffs, but I doubt CC is going to put any real effort into changing him in the next game. He doesn’t undergo any huge important changes in the show anyway, so that gives them even less of a reason to change the character in any real way.
I care about playing all the characters, but I’m honestly confused about their character decisions. What’s the point in boasting a huge roster if you don’t feature all the characters? Don’t get me wrong, I understand the whole ‘relevant characters’ and ‘fan favorites’, but I feel that doesn’t really apply as much because Juugo and Suigetsu have been requested actually awakenings that match the anime/manga for years. How about you don’t boast the size of the roster when a third or more of them are character variations?
I would love to play as Zetsu, and the closest thing to that will be Zetsu Obito. I could care less about all the SOSP characters, or in all reality the new Legendary Sannin…I’m hyped for Boruto and Salada, and Might Guy…and really any new character that isn’t a version of Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, or Obito (outside Zetsu Obito). I would love to play as Kurenai and Anko, and I hate the idea of Support Only as it’s just plain laziness: Seriously, you bothered to make them a detailed model and a Ninjutsu, but chose not to go the whole 9 yards? How about you go none of the yards then instead, and don’t think that giving them usually much better Ninjutsu makes up for them not being playable.
In all honesty, I’m mainly getting this because I like the general Storm system, it’s a bump up to PS4 graphics, and 8-Gates Guy…pretty much the same scenario as when I choked on my boycott of UMvC3 when Ghost Rider was announced.
I’m excited to see what comes next, hopefully they will use the ‘Ninja Wars’ title vs the others. I also already have an eye on Burning Blood.
