I think the Sasuke needs to go and kill everyone who isn’t Naruto to finally initiate the final confrontation between him and naruto. Also trim the fat of the loser rookies who suck now.
I predict there being a tough fight between neji and sasuke before sasuke reaches naruto, I doubt it would be rocklee because his powers are kind of bland, when he fights it’s about him

Everyone hated Shippuden when it first came out, I’ve been dl’ing the eps but I haven’t been watching them, trying to let them pile up so I can marathon it. What’s the general consensus on the anime nowadays? Last ep 57 right before the filler started, is the quality back up to par with the original series or do people still hate the anime?
well, speaking for myself only, I didn’t hate the series as much as I hated some of the things going on. In particular, bitch no jutsu+ filler out the ass. Tired? Oh yeah. I’m sure that many others were getting tired of it too. Me? If Sakura falls in a hole and never gets out, I’m not gonna cry.

There are a few more that are pretty well-done, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head. There’s really no point in watching the other episodes if you’re caught up with the manga, since it’s just retelling that with bleh animation or crappy filler.
Most of the animation is pretty damn good. It’s just unfortunate that Shippudden has had 3 filler arcs now (spaced between the good stuff). I don’t recall anyone saying they hated Shippudden when it came out. if anything it was people coming back to Naruto since those damned Naruto 1 ender filler lasted for like 2 years.

IIRC when shippuden came out everyone was bitching about how shitty a teacher Jman is and why kakashi has a mango sharingan.
so far IMO shippuden is like the second or third season of heroes. everyone was enticed by and liked the first season, so they watched with high hopes as they got trolled by the author(s). dont get me wrong, shippuden has some cool stuff and a lot of tweests, but in terms of story telling and continuity it fails hord.
Maybe for the first couple of episodes, but they really half-assed the end of the Rescue Gaara arc and most of the Search for Sasuke arc.
I thought the Hidan/Kakuzu arc was pretty well done.
If nothing else, at least Shippuden is less-flashback heavy than the first series. Holy crap that was horrible.
Everything after Hidan/Kakuzu is probably on par with Part 1, but nothing can touch Search for Sasuke when it comes to flashbacks. They had flashbacks of stuff that happened 1-2 episodes ago, and they even redid some clips from the VotE to make them look crappier which were shown at least 3 times during that arc. Hell, Naruto probably had a flashback of Sasuke’s family being killed somewhere in there, or maybe he was just having a flashback of Sasuke having a flashback at the VotE.
