The best arc is the Hidan/Kakuzu one. It peaked right there. Hopefully Killer Bee vs. Kisame rules.
And the filler arcs long as fuck but the ones for Bleach are starting to give them a run for its money.

naqruto the anime straight out sucks. the good eps where the old ones, till about 3rd vs oro and itachi and kisame invading konoha. after that it got shitty, never got back to the old level. theres still some good ones like kakuzu arc and fight at vote and such, but the quality got lost forever.
I’m outside the majority here but I actually liked the beginning of Shippuuden. I thought it was well done. Then again, I do like Deidara, but I agree with a lot of points about how fucked up it was; it was entertaining none-the-less and I enjoyed it.
Shippuuden definitely peaked at the Hidan-Kakuzu fights though.

152-153 was dope, I didn’t watch that last filler at all I thought that bubble guy was a tailed beast, the way they tied it in was dope. Maybe in future fillers we will see the other tailed beast going by that picture they put out with all the tailed beast.
So yea Shippuuden should be back on track anime wise. Peeps say it peaked with the Hidan/ Kakazu Arc but anime wise the Jiraiya Pain fight was insane visually. So was the Sasuke 8 tails fight.
I think we due for a new intro though.
Seeing Jiraiya in the intro makes me sad a lil bit…
it may have peaked during the hidan kakuzu arc, but the pein arc is about to skyrocket. Believe it.

I liked the Pain/J-dude fight and Sausuke vs. Killer Bee but none of them had the same feel as Kakuzu/Hidan killing off the smoker and then seeming 100% evil and not caring about it. They were true baddies. The Sasori 100 puppets fight doesn’t get much attention but I thought they handled that very well.

There might be a lot of garbage to sit through first. There were a few off-panel fights with the Pain bodies, and we all know what happened the last time the anime team handled an off-panel fight (Team Gai vs. Clones). Pain vs. Naruto better be ridiculous, though.
In both pre/post Shipuuden, shit went downhill the moment they started focusing on Sasuke’s emo shit.

As far as non-filler shippuden goes, the only arc that I thought stretched a bit long was the Rescue Gaara arc, but even then it was a million times better than shit Naruto 1 filler.
