if said sword would cut “the taboo word” onto the person once said, making a painful assist, then if the sword literally cut that person (or word only) their soul could be taken… also repeated chanting of “the taboo word” could siphon off chakra for the gourd holder’s use.

You may have hated on some of the seven swordsmen’s weapons but at least they were designed to kill in a single blow. These are the worst designed weapons so far in this series. If they were a one hit kill it would be different along with destroying masses of enemies, instead of the “Complete steps 1 through 6 to severely handicap a single fucking opponent!”, mechanics. All that work with those so called sacred weapons and on three ninjas no less in an entire ARMY of ninjas.
The only thing I can liken to this is poor Yamazaki’s Twelve fighting RX’s Urien: All that fucking work just for ONE round off of him.
My heart burns with vigor as I sit and wait from the mana from japan called Naruto.
People are more likely to avoid blatantly lethal attacks. Putting that aside you’re forgetting that some people in Naruto are physical beasts, a sword would snap on SM Naruto, Sasuke’s sword literally bounced off the Raikage’s lightning armour, you have people like Kakuzu with their iron wall.
The fan with all the elements is a weapon designed to kill straight away, in the end it didn’t give a lot of difficulties as they moved out the way.
Most people don’t even know the conditions of their technique and even if they did it is still hard to get around due to the fact that it prevents them from staying silence.
These weapons are SO horrible, even Tenten wouldn’t touch them. I mean, all those steps, for a “kill” that can EASILY be avoided, and even if you get caught, if you’re smart enough to know your second most used word, you can keep saying that over and over to save your own damn hide. I mean…just ugh.
And first there was, “EVERYBODY GOT A SHARINGAN”, then “EVERYBODY GOT A ZETSU”, and now “EVERYBODY GOT A KYUUBI MODE”…come on seriously Kishi? Just end the series, and put it out of its misery. Oh, and since Bleach is starting to copy your shit, kill it along with yourself.
Eh why do people assume that the taboo word thing is the only way the brothers destroy their opponents? They could always just destroy their opponents with their strength and other jutsus, no? :shrugs:

Because if they could, why not just do that? Sure it would expend less chakra than they’re burning with those weapons, and it’s much less roundabout.
I honestly have no idea what the fuck just happened in this chapter. 
Seems Darui was gonna get sucked in because he said a word that sounded very close(?) to his most used word. During the time he was getting sucked into the jug, he apologized to the people he let down. The flashback shows that he was always apologizing to people and saying “sorry” about as much as he said “dull”.That last “sorry” while getting sucked in turned his 2nd most used word (sorry) to his most used word, so it broke the jutsu.
Then he snatched the dude’s weapons and used them against him.
Jees chapter was :wtf::wtf: the whole time. Ok I got that his most used word changed ok–but the damn nine tails shit c’mon can we keep that to the main character please.
So how do you get peeps out of the gourd and can you even pick who you get out the gourd. Jees can we just have battles no extra shit cuz we have too many peeps on the screen right now.
Other than that I was surprised to see Darui actually win if you can call it that…lol.

IMO, this has to be the most pathetic fight (Gin + Kin) we’ve seen so far in the 4th ninja war. Not impressed.
I’ve seen enough Kyuubi. Move on please.
